It's not a secret that I find Gun Puppies to be adorable. They're easily my favorite monster design in the game, and I've been using the helms based on them for a while now. Then, something came up in a conversation.

I was talking the other day with some other knights in Haven when one mentioned it would be cool if there was a "complete" Gun Pup look. Their idea was to add some eyes to the style kit that would be invisible, so the existing Gun Pup helms could look like it was the knight's actual head.
But I thought, what about the next step?

With the existence of animated costumes in the game that change based on your current action, I think it'd be a great idea to make a new type of Gun Pup helm that uses this feature. One which I'm hoping would not be a large burden on the development team, if existing assets provide a viable foundation to build off of.
Like various other costumes, this helmet wouldn't show the knight's face, instead having the gunbarrel glow from a gun puppy within. Unlike the existing Gun Pup helm, it starts closed, but opens up when attacking or talking.

Is this too redundant with the existing helms? Maybe. But I know I would adore the concept, and I'd buy it if given the chance. I've also seen other players before who have made their own fan works of knights with Gun Pup helms that have this articulation, being closed rather than open.
I don't think it would make the original redundant, either, as both designs are appealing.

These last notes are not directly relevant, but I also wanted to put it in writing somewhere that while I generally avoid prize boxes/lootboxes in any videogame, I am more than happy to pay for items directly using energy. I also think it would be fitting if monster-themed items were regularly incorporated into the new spike storm events, just as the Construct Prize Box was for the first instance, and more costumes based on the relevant monsters could help to provide more wares for players who enjoy a particular monster family.
