The Slime Spike event was a mess and in part I blame it on the fact that it was tested on the preview server for just one day. While I understand that you promised that the event would return again in September (a hasty promise imo) I do believe that it also highlights potential areas for GH to grow.

During the second round of the event it certainly appeared like more effort went into getting in the way of Farmers using Alt Accounts than fixing many of the bugs or taking a closer look at balancing the event. Spikes still spawning out of bounds or not being player accessible, Shankles and even the Treasure Mimic boss seen leaving their fixed locations, as well as complaints about balancing monsters and the new spike mechanics left unaddressed.

I also believe that this highlights another issue in that the time investment for this event is very different to many similar events with those more often than not allowing the player to collect one of several 5 star weapons fairly easily for that event but still taking great effort for one who wants to get the entire collection in just one event. In contrast this event features that same time sink of "great effort" all in exchange for a single 5 star weapon... in as much as I agree that Farming using Alt Accounts is a bad thing I also see it largely as a response to how this particular event was setup in the first place.

======

1. Try to run the preview server at least a week before finally releasing the next patch.

2. Egregious functionality bugs need to be fixed before release

3. Staff testing balance should test it with a variety of weapons and armors, not just strong ones but also weak ones and bad ones. Balancing the game around GM items or regular items from the selection of Meta gear amped with every UV possible isn't what you should balance things around.

I want this game to be good, and I know that you can make it happen.
