that's it the chaos set need some serious improvement,it's drasically inferior the the grey feather set and divine set,i mean it reduces your resistances wich basically force you to get a lot of remedy items to not whipe after getting hit by a single status just to gain 13% more damage?
i think that the weakness should be removed and the bonus damage should be slighty increased to turn it into a good set
i said this just because i love the skin of the chaos set and i would love to use it as my main set

Should give more damage.
Given how uvs work, with 2 max uvs you should be able to have max resist to 2 stats though despite wearing chaos.
Probably shock and fire. But then again, it would cost a fortune.

Chaos!
The old stats were:
- Damage: Medium
- Charge Time Reduction: Medium
It definitely needed a nerf, but as it is now, it's pathetic.
Personally, I feel the entire Magic line should have CTR. It's magic. What makes it special, a piddly Elemental defense? Compared to Vog, that's just silly. Give Magic users the magic. Give them CTR.
Moving on, the Damage portion of the armor. Coupled with Very High CTR, that's crazy talk. Coupled with Very High CTR and a chance of inflicting a random status effect on yourself with every hit? Now we're talking. Honestly, Chaos could definitely go without CTR, or at the most Low CTR per piece of armor.
I just really like the idea of randomly bursting into flames, 'cuz I'm too awesome not to.

It's for people that want a challenge too. Also, it's called UV's and trinkets. Get a poison max uv on the cloak, a shock max on cowl, a 100 trinket freeze resist (forget its name), and a 100 trinket on fire or curse. Problem solved!

ive reversed my origonal opinion on this, chaos set does need a boost up in power to compensate. something like another plus to damage and make the defenses at least comparable to mad bomber suit.

Armor should stand on it's own merit. if it has a weakness, it needs to be properly compensated. look at mab bomber for comparison. to the average player, that +1 damage all doesnt compare to +2 CTR bombs, +2 damage bombs, even if the player is a hybrid. and yet for some reason chaos armor has more weaknesses! it's clearly underbalanced.

I can't believe this thread... BigFootM, nobody is as fortunate or "gamer godly" as you are. Max UV's cost a fortune and you'll be lucky to get one when crafting.
I completely agree that the Chaos set needs some major buffing. I know it has weakness to every status effect and a mediocre damage bonus. Is the damage bonus the only thing good about it? (I don't know much about the set cause when I looked at it all I saw was the negative stats and skipped) Because if that's all then why not just go for Skolver? The set looks amazingly cool and I bet lots of people would love to have it as their main helm and armor, but sadly its limited to only being a costume ._________.
My suggestion would be make it negative to the status effects that the Divine set is positive against. It would be a perfect rivalry. Maybe make the damage bonus into medium so it doesn't look so inferior to Skolver.

The Chaos set isn't anywhere near as viable as the other 5 star sets, which is a shame because it looks so damn good. Personally, my suggestion would be to give it Low Attack Speed increase along with some other tweaks as necessary, while still keeping the weakness to every status. We have the Plate series that grants extraordinary protection while decreasing damage output, so why not make the fittingly named Chaos set do the opposite? It would be the perfect complement to speed junkies who favor the Cutter series.

@no posters, not ur decision, been wanting to get rid of that long time ago ^.^
a universal buff of that kind isnt worth it, the MAXIMUM is barely worth it, however since the defenses also dont matter at all, the only thing that actually does matter is status debuffs
making full use of that set would require to have a bomb(used with the actual dmg, not debuff bomb only), a sword and a gun
furthermore it would require to need less hits with whatever kind of a combination some1 uses to kill the same monster, i could imagine that happening maybe up to 50% of the time, since the weird weapon setup has different damage with the gun being really low making it easier possible to require less hits with tiny bonus dmg
CTR would make up for the negative status resists and it would still leave the mad bomber valuable with the VH bonus(however current gunner gear could say adios or w.e)
anyway, im glad i dont hav to mess with the balancing, ill just wait for the next patch to surprise me lol :D

I believe this set deserves to be rebalanced as well ... a glass cannon type of set maybe?
keep the negatives statuses
REDUCE the elemental and normal defenses
RETURN the CTR (make it low?)
ADD ASI (make it low?)
and keep DMG: Low universal
Now THAT is pure chaos!
DPS or DIE.

if not that then at least remove the negative statuses to the elemental effect (fire, shock, freeze)
and leave on the REAL status effects like Sleep, stun.
the fact is that it improves damage for every weapon, regardless of situation or circumstance, makes it extremly lucrative. it needs a weakness to make it balance out against other sets.
sure it requires that you gotta carry remedies, but thats a small price to pay for a universal power buff don't you think?
if you like how the set looks, wear it as a costume.
