Easy Soloing?

I was doing the first few levels of a tier 2 run, and was planning to invite my friends once I reached the halfway point, and one thing I noticed was that enemies were dying really, REALLY fast.

I thought perhaps I was mistaken about how much I was doing but enemies were falling in 4 shots of my gun, again and again!

Did the patch make soloing easier or am I just missing something?

The health of enemies are multiplied by the number of persons you have in your party.
