I suppose this thread goes here, since I'm drawing Spiral Knights. I kept staring at the birds, thinking to myself.. How adorable!

It turns out, they're difficult to draw.

And us? The people who don't really have faces? We're totally out of proportion. It's frustrating!

But overall, I completely enjoyed trying to draw it. I've posed (my character and I), modeled, drawn, erased, redrawn, posed again, got some critics, got criticized, did another draft.. That whole process. It was long, tedious and took up way too much of my time for such a simple picture that I knew I had in my head [although it didn't come out exactly as I had imagined it.. Oops! o_o] but in the end, I think I did OK... Sorta (oh, the irony.)

The first one is a draft. It's ridiculously tiny, maybe 3in. x 3in. and you won't believe how much exercise I got getting up constantly to sharpen my pencil. [And I never thought to bring the sharpener with me.. Yup, I am really fit right now. Squats? Psshh, I did dozens of them drawing this draft.]

The second one is incomplete and much bigger, so hopefully you can enlarge it just fine. But I didn't darken it. Maybe it will stay incomplete and forever in need of darkening. Due to the multiple erase marks I've tried so hard to hide and the fact that the body is just.. really unproportional, I may just give up. I meant to put some tree in the background.. or maybe the fountain since I don't recall seeing a tree in HQ. Maybe I'll draw some gremlins and devilities and those cute puffy, kitty things that get pretty ugly once they get mad at you sitting around and taking a nap or playing around. Or maybe I'll just never touch this picture again because the proportions are so frustrating.

Who knows. Maybe I'll just draw something else instead. Or not. Oh well.
