Good All-purpose Armors Sets

Is there a combination of armor pieces that can cover most bases. I was looking at the wiki but it looks out of date considering the Magic Armor set covered a little of everything with no down sides but in game it does not have the same stats.
Any help is much appreciated.
It's a matter of opinion, but I think an all-purpose armor set should have a healthy amount of elemental defense. A lot of enemies across all floor types have elemental attacks. Shadow damage is more confined to graveyard floors, and piercing damage is just underrepresented.
The magic cloak and the owlite shield both have elemental defense and are pretty easy to craft.
