Wow, desperate much?
Seriously, if you've been paying attention, you might've noticed there's been a sudden surge of scammers, con knights, thieves.....you know, the whole shebang. Some clearly more dumber than others. One dude was trying to "sell" materials, comes up to me (not even noticing I also had posted my own selling sign) and opens up a trade window. He tells me he'd sell me materials for 150crowns, but only AFTER I gave him the money. He wouldn't at least post his wares to negotiate.
....seriously, desperate much?
He went on to try and "sell" his stuff to others, but I knew better, so I zone'd everybody of his vile treachery, and filed up a complaint.
This is just one of the many dorks that try to make easy crowns out of someone else. One after the other they come, and one after the other they surprise me on how [goofy] their schemes are.
You fellows also getting a lot of these guys? I've counted like a dozen or so in a single instance, at the same time.
"...demonic offspring of a politician or a lawyer", eh?
I think I like you.
But back on topic, I knew there were always those moral-lacking players, and when I started playing I saw them once in a while, not as often as I see now. I think this is somewhat connected with the recent Power Surges we been having.
i dont trade with anyone, so no i dont notice anyone scamming.

I wonder if the news page that comes up when we log in could have one of those ad spaces replaced with a MotD warning of scams, or add an in-game mail notice for new players or something like that.
I guess I've been lucky so far, but thanks for the warning anyway. I had ONE player prompt me for a trade window, but then just stand there; no response to my interrogations re: what kind of thing was desired or what was offered in return, just silence. I assumed at the time I was dealing with some one clueless, the idea of an attempt at scamming me out of mats never crossed my mind. I can't remember anything else that might have been a scam attempt, super-lazy or otherwise.
I thought politicians _are_ lawyers. :(
...or, at least law school dropouts?
It's a MMO... there are always scammers, beggars, thieves, and people in general that have less morals than the demonic offspring of a politician and a lawyer. It's just basic numbers... the more players a game has, the more people there will be that are bankrupt of common decency... and the more likely you're to run into them.
