I feel like I'm often in a party (with strangers, the type that I just auto-join) that everyone else eventually leaves when they run out of energy or w/e, leaving just me. I'm not too big on soloing yet, but I can't figure out at that point how to get other people to join my party.
I know I've joined other parties that are already down several levels, but nobody ever joins me when it's just me alone. I'm not on treasure levels, I don't have "lock party" checked. Am I missing something?

You... You do know they can't go on without energy, right? Because your wording implies they're at fault.
If you're past Basil in a tier, then the group joining feature won't automatically put people in your group, even if it's open. It only automatically adds people to groups at Basil or before Basil.
You can set your group so that friends or guildmates can jump in. You can also manually invite them, but it's obnoxious to do that without asking.
Thanks for the tips! I don't have a Guild or many friends yet, so have just been relying on the auto-join.
I wasn't aware that it won't add people after Basil. That makes a lot more sense.
@Replicant: I didn't mean to imply that I get angry at people for leaving! Just that there's various reasons why people do.
Yeti, that's the use of a friends list.
You can invite your friends by opening the friend tab (default F6 if I'm not mistaken), clicking their name and then "invite".
