So I have been thinking on what lock-down could end-up like, so here it is.

First some questions to ask.

How will teams be balanced, completely random like BN, or balanced and fair?

How much will it cost to join, still 200 crowns, or will it be more?

Will there be new PVP recipes to go with it?

Will it still be attached to Krogmo Coins?

Now for some issues.

1. if it is not balanced and is random like BN, it will be a 5* only game type really.

2. if it is only 200 crowns to play, and we can sell mod calibrators for 12kcr a pop(even if it dropped to 2kcr is sustainable), why go down to the clockworks aside from materials, and to get the initial price to start entering?

3. Players may rage-quit if they feel they need 5* just to compete in the PVP.

4. Blast-network will turn into a ghost town fast!

5. More lag created from the mass amount of players playing PVP cause it is cheaper than the clockworks, and you get to play as much as you have crowns. (more players online at all times)

6. Does it really add any reason to purchase CE so OOO can benefit from it?

These are the things I suspect, any comments, suggestions, Idea's etc. feel free to add :D

They took on some of my additions in the thread about PvP fighting.

Should they have, equipment will be scaled damage, while retaining effects and whatnot. So 5* equipment won't have so much an advantage.

Like in beta, this is how it was. Beta was awesome. I wish it never left.

Also agree with arasuki. Blast Network already proved one's connection to SK server played an important role in the outcome of each game. Lockdown will probably not be an exception. Not worst I'd say because Blast Network are big games with up to 8 players and mostly tons of explosions everywhere, but I'm sure it'll be similar.

And concerning the OP remarks, I'd say many endgame players like me have been waiting for that a long time, its probably gonne be a great feature. I just hope that Lockdown will be rewarded with else than Krogmo coins, so that players who farmed the crap out of BN while it still was possible to AFK in it won't redeem all the new rewards in 5 minutes without even attending that new PvP mode. Also there will probably be different categories of game regarding the equipment of the participating players.

Interesting times...

I'm not sure if having all 5*, 4* etc groups would work, what happens if you have a mixed set? Maybe you have a 5* item and some 4* that you're heating up and maybe some other stuff you're working on, what category would you go in? Maybe you're a 5* swordie, and suddenly find that maybe a gun would be useful, do you have to get all 2*/3* stuff again so you can join the right group for the gun or would you have to wait until the you'd upgraded the gun to 5*?

It' probably easier just to nerf everything down so that there is little advantage in high end gear.

It could be good for crafters, especially if you have some less used recipes. What works well in the clockworks may be less useful in pvp. People may decide that they need a whole different set for pvp ( part of the reason for the new loadouts feature?) Think about it, the standard advice is to go heavy on elemental defence as that's the biggest threat in the clockworks, now look at your arsenal... is it all elemental attack? Probably not, you may have some shadow and should have some piercing weapons. Anyone that wants to get serious about pvp, now has to take into account thta guy you didn't notice firing a shadowtech or blitzneedle at you, if everyone is in Vog Cub the guy with the GF has the advantage over the guys with DA's.

This could shake things up a lot and 5* players aren't all going have it all their own way (at least not at first)

I think you guys are worrying too much about equipment, they said you can use your equipment, so? The game devs know that if they make it work the same as they do in the clockworks, that the game will become a ghost town within a week. It sounds to me like a Control Point map on Team Fortress 2 where you have to capture/control the points, or even Domination in Call of Duty. I think gear will play a role, but he mentioned the shield, suppose I show up in my Spiral Gear facing some dude with endgame gear and a DA, he swings, my teammate activates that 'magic shield' nick mentioned...then what?

They are not gonna pit 5* players against 2* players unless everything is toned down, kind of like how a DA doesn't do T3 damage in T1, it'll be even, or it'll fail, and I don't think they are stupid enough to let it fail. Even so, everyone mentions GF and DA's, so? Run around and shoot them while they dance around with their silly 360 swings, they'll be dead in no time, or drop a venom bomb and reduce their effectiveness, it's going to be about tactics, not how much gear you have, especially considering the post before mine, like he said, pop a few Biohazard charge shots to the silly looking on-fire dog guy, then s'plode him across the screen to victory.

Lockdown will be cool, and probably just like fighting in clockworks. Only you enemy is SMARTER! Unless you're some people I kno. They're just like 'AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!" And spam the attack button so fast you'd think it'd create enough wind to blow them away.

Or just try and snipe people with antiguas. No matter how mayt time I tell them it'll be ineffective.-_-

ok here i am to answer all of your questions :NOTE: the reason i know all of this is because i am a tester so they might make some changes to the game. yes the entry fee is 200 crowns. you can only play against players who have 0-1 star equipped if you have 0-1 star equipped if you have 2-3 equipped you can only play against players who have 2-3 star equipped ect. yes you do get krogmo coins. and thats all i am revealing!!! My only hope is that they don't start messing around with pve/clockworks adventuring in the name of pvp balancing. Seen too many games go from fun to ruined in the name of bland homogenization due to pvp balance.
