How many hits does it take to get to the center of a knight?

ermm sort of a specific question, but does anyone know how many hits it take for
a T3 Slag walker to break a Volcanic Plate Shield?
if you know how many hits it takes for vana and trojan sword swings that would be nice too :D
im trying to decide what shield to make for vana runs

What Dark Ritual?
I have a grey Owlite, crest of Almire, and VPS.
I use the VPS. I can stand two hits from vanadukes mace, quite a few zombie breaths, and a few Trojan hits. It's the spikes that kill me. That's why a lot use barb thorn. I'm working on mine so I can test It out for myself.
Idk. But the shield I'll heavily recommend is barbarous thorn shield.
