And it's on a 5* item. I can't magic it away. It's totally useless, and it sickens me just to look at it.

I'd like an option to remove Unique Variants without having to craft up. My OCD craves it.

i think he really wants to turn the iten into a plain one

without variants, because he is sick of seeing it in his equip, because it is useless. I sincerelly think that everything have a use, even is small or extremly situational, but, do whatever you want.
