Question: What can be done when a guild's Guild Master/Officers have been offline for months?

About two months back, i was invited to a guild after a nice successful clockworks run my guild's Guild Master. However, after about two weeks, i never saw him on again. Now I know, with a game like Spiral Knights, most players are on an hour or so at a time so i simply could just be missing him. As of last week, i don't think that anymore. I've gone on at different times of day, thanks to Blast Network, and i have never seen him on....nor any officers for that matter. It's been two months now and with all these new additions and events, one would think i would see some of these guild members. I've sent messages and such, waited a week, but received no answer.
I was wondering if there is anyway to get some control of the guild. Me and the only other active member of the guild don't really want to leave it and want to try and revitalize the guild. If there is no other way than to just leave and join another guild, so be it. I just wanted to ask to see if it was possible.
Also, i apologize if this was an issue i should have brought up in private with a GM. Couldn't really determine if this was something to ask a GM for help for when you submit a support ticket.
If they leave the guild or are deleted the next rank down will be promoted. There is no way to kick a Guild Master, the longer you have been in a guild the more seniority as well so newer GMs cannot kick the orginator. The guild will continue as a Zombie guild until it has no members when it will be destroyed. Guilds are the property of the originating GM or the next in line should they leave, there is nothing that can be done about this. Your only option is to leave the guild and join an active one.
To most of our knowledge, it's as Mission says - a founding Guild Master who abandons his guild essentially dooms it. To be able to get seniority, you'll all need to leave the existing guild and reform a new one together.
I don't know if Game Masters have ever assisted with something like this in the past, but it sounds like it could be a risky area if they were to start forcibly removing guild permissions from certain players. You're definitely not the first person to request this, but I do believe all the others were told they had to start a new guild.
Probably not what you want to hear, sorry, but hopefully this helps!
