Automatic Shielding and heat protection for loss of Network

Suggestions:
If a player suffers network issues that logs them off Spiral Knights temporarily;
1. Automatically activate the player's shield so they have a chance of being 'live' when they return
2. Don't clear their heat back to 0...

Every so often I have network issues that logs me off Spiral Knights, interrupting my game for a minute or two at a time. Spiral Knights can not do anything about this, it is a client side problem. (And I don't believe its just me who has this issue at times)

But what would be nice is if there were a few extra features that make this occurrence far less painful;

--- A big problem with logging off is if you are near any monster, no matter how powerful, you usually turn up dead when you revive.
Now, I do not believe that the player should suddenly become invincible, however automatically enabling the players shield should not be too much to ask, even if the result is the same because the shield is overcome. This just gives an extra chance for the unfortunate player to come back a minute or two later and have some health, rather than having to fork out energy to revive for something they couldn't help.

--- Another issue for players is if they are logged off, they lose all heat when they return. Similar to going solo or being kicked off a team.
This issue is particularly annoying when it happens near the end of a level or when you are doing levels expressly for the heat, and I do not believe players should be penalized for having network issues or changing team structure. Retaining the heat allows players to continue from where they left off, rather than having to recollect the heat they lost.

Spiral Knights can't help when I have network issues. There are just a few things that would be great to cushion the blow.
