Why they're fighting the energy price drop is is beyond me. They'd be better off taking advantage of it, buying up lots of cheap CE and holding onto it when the price inevitably rises back up (you know it will). Much easier, but requires more patience.

...I'm in support of the energy system working "as intended", not in defense of any of these opposing factions:
1. "evil" CE hoarders/sellers who want to see CE prices go up
2. equally "evil" F2P newbs/whiners who want to see CE prices go down

When CE prices drop, I buy as much as possible and wait for prices to rise. Makes some profit. Is it going down yet? Haven't checked the CE price in weeks but as far as I can see from the new CE thread everyday it is going up or staying steady.

Who has time to watch the market tab just drop a couple dozen offers to buy at about 4700(or whatever your willing to bet it will drop to) and wait for the promotion to do it market magic.
If it doesn't ever reach that price hey it's like a piggy bank for crowns.

Eh good point. To be honest I don't know what anything is worth. I have a ton of mats built up that I would probably sell for dirt cheap just because I don't want them anymore, I find auction house prices pitiful and not worth selling at the prices for anything. CE could make some profit.

It's going down because they are selling more than the people want. The demand for crowns is higher than that for CE, because of the new Rose Regalia. With that in mind, it's easy for buyers to lower the amount they are willing to pay, and the sellers to be forced to pay said amount. They can fight as much as they like, but the new Rose Redux is going to cause it to go down. :P
