To make the advancement to five star more rewarding, and to show off your new power to everyone, what about having a five star shield changing the visual effect of shielding, such as making oneself look more snarbalax-ish with the five star shield and such.
Also, to add content to the game with people having much more they can gather would be social slots for shields and weapons. The weapons would have to be in the same attack class (slow sword, fast sword, gun, etc) though. That way we could have the advanced players working to get a five star shield for their main slot, and a five star shield for their social slot.
