In all honesty, I'm very patient, so I'll save up the crowns to buy it at whatever price it is, but I do think ~5.5k as it is now is pretty darn reasonable.

The lowest I remember seeing was 2.2k, and I thought it was a lot then... mostly because I had just joined =P I remember Blue Shard selling on the AH for 200cr, and Swordstone costing over 900 (no not 9000) crowns.

A few weeks after the Regslia
A few weeks after the Regslia event and it will be back up there. Lots of people buying for hats now, others buying for beta access and even more buying thinking they will strike it rich by selling the sets later, which is not going to happen, BTW. Too many people thinking along the same lines.

Too many people thinking along the same lines?
Eventually, even those people will fade away and their regalia sets be bound.
It will just take longer to be pricey than the Red/White/Black though, since there are more.
Also, Green is crap in the average player's eyes, if anyone has a set, just wear them.

You may be correct, but I am not convinced, I think that yes, in time they will grow to be worth something, but never the prices that the original sets are going for now, or even the inflation adjusted equal. Three Rings really holds the keys to this though. This is the second time it has happened, investing in a one-time deal that eventually became a two time deal looks less promising every time it happens. Yes, I know the colors are different, but eventually even the original people will fade like you said, making even those worthless, or should I say impossible to get. Most folks like the design, few are willing to pay for the old colors. It's honestly why I have a set. I'm P2P anyway, but I spent in smaller amounts.
Shame on the green, it's actually my favorite with the orange player color which turns to brown, sadly, on my gunslinger and bomb sets.
Hopefully you are correct, though, I have a coupla pieces I don't wear!

I thought the same thing, then I saw the original Rose Regalia sets going for 10k+ CE.
If they're going to make limited items like that, they should do it more often to offset the shear inflation that they generate.
At the rate they're going they will be 100k+ CE before the end of the year.
Meh, I suppose, but I played back when it was below 4k, so it seems pricy to me now just by comparison.
I have enough to do whatever I want, although being kicked by arrogant pricks in FSC because they're methods differ from mine doesn't help.
