Please Have a Fang of Vog Update!

I suggest (and I'm sure other's do as well) that the Fang of Vog get an update to bring it on par with other t5 swords. Frankly, it's damage is lacking and the charge (while really good) almost always sets you on fire, which makes it not worth using.

I suggest that the damage (both normal and elemental) be brought up to that of the divine avenger and remove the chance of catching fire entirely. It's sad that the hardest to obtain weapon in the game sucks, and after all of the work that went into getting it, most people just shelve it after seeing it's actual potential.

Suggestions?

No, I disagree. Comparatively

No, I disagree. Comparatively it does less damage than other t5 swords which can cause status effects. Pluss if you were to compare it to say the leviathan which does much more damage and has the same charge (minus the fire) you'll see that there is really no reason to use the Fang Of Vog. Because of the chance of setting your self alight when using the charge, the charge attack becomes a risk and it no longer is a viable option. Then the only thing left is it's normal attacks which do a sad amount of damage in the first place, but can set things on fire. In all I don't think it's a viable option.

you know why it might suck?if

you know why it might suck?if you do not really want to get the energy and crowns for a 5* sword.You can stock up vanaduke coins to get one.reason why is because you pay coins for it.idk if im right though.

That's an interesting take on

That's an interesting take on it. If that's true, the reason is flawed because you spend more energy and coins trying to get it than you would making 5* gear. If anything it should be an epic weapon because of the "unobtainability" of the sword. Also by T3, most everyone has a 5* sword and gear anyway.

@Quiiliitiila

I couldn't disagree more.

No matter how obtainable or not a particular sword is, it ought to be just as "good" as the other ones.

Less-obtainable weapons should be more EXOTIC and UNIQUE, true, but as far as usability goes, everything should be on-par with each-other, no matter how different they are!

You know the game Starcraft? (The first one, not Starcraft 2.) That was a brilliant example of "different but balanced". It was a RTS (Real Time Strategy) and you could play as three different races, each with a vastly different upgrading tech tree, and while all three of them had tons of different upgrade paths, there was no such thing as "no counters". Every upgrade, every unit and every tactic had a counter-upgrade, counter-unit and counter-tactic, no matter what race you were matched up against.

I think Spiral Knights's equipment should strive to be like that. It does an OKAY job of it, but there are some weapons and armor I kinda wish were better, such as the Winmillion (it could use a 5* version), the Scarlet Shield and Swiftstrike Buckler, the Wrench Wand, the Cautery Sword...

Oh, and the inclusion of the Oil Gun and someone else's idea of the Wind Gun, that would be cool... 8D

But yeah, everything should be balanced, but everything should also be unique. I've never used Fang of Vog because I've never even seen Vanaduke before, but when/if I do get my hands on one, I would be disappointed if it's "overpowered" and makes the game too easy. If I wielded that sword, I just want to make people say "Wow!" and nothing more, really. ^^

@Schwa I couldn't agree more,

@Schwa
I couldn't agree more, but the point I'm trying to make is that the Fang of Vog is not on par with the other and newer 5* weapons. It is exotic and has a wow factor, but I'd like a playable factor. :^D

Why not just take away the elemental component to the damage and make it a Leviathan Blade that sets things on fire? It'd be like the Triglav (normal damage+status) but actually useful!

On pvp I can't comment, but

On pvp I can't comment, but if you want high damage per attack the fang of vog has it, loads of it thanks to that charge.

Or you know they could

Or you know they could balance out other weapons that are in dire need of help rather than one that's still situationally useful. Such as the BAB, Troika line, or even a Winmillion 5*

What dark ritual?

Yup lets get a 5* Wintrillion.
