- Tired of people one-KO'ing you in lockdown with their Gran Fausts and Divine Avengers?
- Not enough money to buy trinket slots, let alone good trinkets?
- Finally got your new Vog set, but wouldn't like to invest in a new setup to combat the piercing and shadow swords that seem to infest every lockdown you're in?
- Feel like you're a good player, but that you can't compete with other people's uber-gear, made possible by their seemingly infinite cash deposits?

Then come play at Tier 1 lockdown, no shadow or piercing weapons there. Furthermore, no trinkets either. This basically enables everyone to start from the same line (apart from UVs, though).

Just equip your old 0-1* gear (and optionally save it as a new loadout) and un-enable all the other loadouts (otherwise you'll be considered higher tier). Or maybe even make/buy a new gear, if the old ones are already upgraded or sold. 1* weapons and armors go for around 500-700cr in auction.

Note1: I'd advice to heat up the new gear, though. It could make a world of difference.
Note2: You can't have ANYTHING higher than 1*. So remember to unequip all the trinkets.
Note3: Also remember, you don't need a shield in lockdown. Only armor, helmet and weapon(s).

But seriously, we have too few people in tier1 lockdowns. Even at this right moment, the game has been delayed 18 times, we would REALLY appreciate more people there. Granted, it will get better once the clock hits 5 pm in US, but there's still usually the same faces there all the time. There are maybe 10 of us more regular Tier1'ers in total (maybe exaggerating), atm. Then there are the new players just trying out what the lockdown is all about (with proto gear, usually). And imagine getting them to play at the same time.

I've crafted/bought my shocking 1* "cali", "brandish", "troika", a zapper, circuit and frostbreak armor sets and yesterday i heated all of them up. But yeah, i tried to log into a game but no luck. I'll try later on and who's there. It took me all of 100ce to get all my gear :)

Of course, I think i'll stick later on with t2 as it become more diversified. Once you get to 3*, i can have my snarbie blade, my freeze bomb, a brandish, a cali, a troika, the pulsar line goes down a path and not to mention all the armor sets start to get good. Of course, even though i had an elemental cloack adn a wolver cap already, making all my 3* gear is turning out to be quite an investment.

I've been meaning to try out T1 LD, but I'll need to heat up some 1* gear again. Everything except my firecracker ended up getting upgraded to 2* way back in the day.

- doesn't cost too much to get a few 1* equips
- many more 4v4 games (the ones I prefer)
- very few games with people leaving (only once in 10 games or so)

I've been doing tier 2 fairly regularly and it seems to be better balanced with a wider array of viable weapons and armor. why the push for tier 1 specifically?

We quit. after 10 delays and I am more than happy with T3 pvp
At least you get to play it fast

P.S. Okay so guild was a bad idea (i knew it) but hey, I'm gonna get tired of it fast if there is more whiners about T3 imbalance. I dont care if I am two-shot by a GF because I find it a good CHALLENGING aspect of the game.

Why tier1 ?

The reason for tier1 is because tier1 is cheaper to make new equipment to (and faster to heat, too). Furthermore, it has no insta-KO's, because there are no piercing or shadow weapons there. There will be no "Your Lockdown game has been delayed" messages, once more people realize this fact...

edit: Also, it emphasizes skill and tactics instead of equipment.

So I tried some T1 lockdown

So I tried some T1 lockdown this evening and I have to say it's pretty nice. It seems like an Emberbreak helm and Circuit Breaker armor are a winning combination since almost everyone is running around with a Hot Edge and the Circuit Breaker armor is mysteriously missing the fire and ice vulnerabilities. Just gotta be careful when you run into someone with a frost gun or cold snap.

I'm definitely finding recon/bomber to be a bit more of a challenge since my firecracker has an almost uselessly small AoE radius. It's a lot harder to lure enemies into the blast. I'm thinking I might try swapping it out for a cold snap, since I'd be able to put a double-hit on someone if I manage to freeze them. I'll probably also add a pummel gun to the list rather than trying to rely on my hot edge as a secondary weapon. It's just too difficult to get good positioning on someone without the striker boost.

I think my fav is still T2, since there's a bit more variety in weapons and armor, but T1 is definitely fun to play around with.

T2 Lockdown

Guys T1 lockdown takes WAY too long to start because not a lot of people go there. I'm T3 and I started playing at T2 lockdown. No OP weapons there. But seriously, in T1 lockdown, its as if you are hitting each other with sticks and stuff, so T1 lockdown = harder to kill + harder to get killed. T2 is exceptionally balanced, plus its fast.

Um, the main idea of why the Tier1 lockdown would be better was that there would NOT be insta-KO's. And strikers are still fairly quick to kill. And I think it's good thing that guardian doesn't fall from two or three hits. Don't know how it's after the patch, will have to try if guardians are too powerful now.

Furthermore, the extra expense of crafting for Tier2 lockdown is considerably higher than for Tier1. I would love to try Tier2, but I don't want to have a different set for T2, when my main gear is already 5*... Tier1 loadout, on the other hand, costs about 2000cr (or 3000cr, if you want to use four weapons instead of two).

PS. If it would be possible, I would also like to try "Tier0" lockdown, where everyone has Proto Gear, shields would be the only variable factor. Bomberman (or Blast Network, if you really want to call it that...) has the same equal equipment for all, why not have a similar choice in lockdowns, too?

We seriously need more people in Tier 1 Lockdown! I couldn't find anyone available! In tier 2 lockdown, I can somewhat get into a game. But its often 2 vs 2 or 3 vs 3. DANG IT!!! >:(

So what I tried doing is encouraging those people who doesn't read the forums, in tier 3 lockdown to show their true skill in tier 1 lockdown. And you know what they said? "No way! Because I am addicted to this GF and DA like if it was crack!" (Not exactly, but pretty much they said.)
Omg! Really?! This is really a shame! It is like people doesn't want to priestage in Black Ops and give away their G11! What is with people not accepting a little challenge?

SUGGESTION THAT COULD SOLVE ALL PROBLEMS:
I have an idea! To avoid all this BS, why not have separate selection of weapons for PvP, specifically for PvP only? Not only it would balance things out, but newbies can play with the oldies! I really dislike it how there are 3 separate "server sections" for PvP (Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3). Everyone should join in the fight! Think about the newbs who wants to join in! It shouldn't be Tier 1 people face Tier 1 people and Tier 3 people face Tier 3 people! That is being racist and its segregating!!! Wait! Not racist! It is being "Levelist!"
Want level progression in PvP? FINE! Then just add heat! Everytime you kill a player, they drop heat. You use that heat to level up your PvP stats and equipment for that round only. It will reset at the end of each round.
Jeeze 3-Rings, make this game newbie and skill friendly! Stop segregating the newbies from the oldies! Just because they are a "noob" doesn't mean they don't have skill.

but it always send me to all T3 guys when I'm equipped 0 and 1* star equipments, thus forced to be a guardian in order to survive XD

The information in PVP pop-up box "You are in Tier 3" make me wonder... Is that the reason you will be arranged to pair up with T3 groups even you've fully equipped T1 gears? o.O

If you have any t3 loadouts

If you have any t3 loadouts marked for pvp then you will be thrown into t3 pvp. you can simply unmark those loadouts by clicking the crossed swords, they will uncross and then you can feel free to T1 pvp all day long!

It would be really nice if the lockdown join screen showed how many people were waiting/playing at each tier rather than grouping them all together.

I was thinking of hopping on later today to give my Cold Snap a shakedown run.

i recomend playing tier 2 cuz its evenly matched man not like tier 1 how ur stuck with proto crap u probably find tier 2 hard cuz hard people in it like me use tier 3 stuff. im never gonna move up to tier 3. i wouldnt be able to keep up with the one hit ko's.JUST A TIP PLAY AS A TIER 2 GUY!!!!

Wouldn't mind more people in T2 either tbh, but that won't be as cheap if you're already 4*+.

@Supermanxd: Playing with T3 gear in T2 should not be possible, unless you somehow glitch your way in which is against ToS. Play fair or not at all!

T1 Lockdown, HELL YEAH!

My only Concern are the Heavy Sword+Striker+Trinket Users. Takes the Fun out of it. I can't be a Sneaky Recon without one going through Hallways, Spamming its Attack & getting my Cloak Destroyed in a matter of Seconds. And to Fend them off, I use Bombs that usually kill them in 2 Hits, but I end up hitting them 5 times with no Avail.

EDIT: I'll Admit, I DO use Health Trinkets, too, but the Point of being a Striker is to have High Damage+High Risk, not High Damage+Low Risk.
