Do I Just Suck?

Ok, sorta rant sorta not...
I really like playing Lockdown, but I can never seem to do anything substantial while playing. Sure I'm often the one on the team with the highest captures, but when it comes to damage output and resistance it seems I'm LEAGUES behind all the other t3 players.
Right now I'm rocking a full vog cub set and wielding a Sudaruska. In all because of some UVs I have attack speed increase maximum and medium resistance to shadow and elemental.
I often play as a recon and do cloak and dagger fighting. I've found that it takes me 2-3 hits to kill other players when I'm often killed in 1, no matter what class is swinging at me. In fact it seems many players don't have to even be near me in order to hit me with whatever sharp implement they're wielding (mainly DA and GF). Another annoyance is the fact that it seems Slashers need only run into me when their charging to kill me in one hit. Is that a feature of the slasher? Do you damage people when you're charging?
Also, not so much anyone else's fault but my own is the fact that compared to other's my computer must suck! I'm not even lagging and people out perform me, they react faster, seem to have no lagg at all and can see me before I see them. Ug.
I've also noticed that there is no interruption of swings when I hit or damage people. When I swing, they swing too and keep on swinging even though they're taking damage. (Remember, unlike some of you out there I have to hit people 2-3 times for a kill and I go to rely on interrupting their retaliatory strikes only to find it doesn't happen).
So what is it? What am I doing so wrong to make me suck? Or what is everyone else doing to be one hit K.O. gods of PvP? I feel I've missed the memeo or something...
Comments? Suggestions?

No the set is not yet fully leveled, but I'm killed by first swings...
I admit I'm not the best PvPer, but I by no means suck.

When running the clockworks do you find that other players start moving much before you do when entering a new depth? If so then your machine is not fast enough. Otherwise it could be network latency if you find opponents hitting you without swinging.

the short answer is: yes. yes you do
the long answer is : maybe, but i dunno because i dont care
I have never played lockdown, and probably won't get around to it anytime soon. But if I understand the rules of the game right, more captures (assuming you can hold them long enough) means more points, and the winning team is the one with the most point not the most damage dealt. So it would seem to me what you are doing works, who cares if you die a lot if you make the most points for the team.
At least that is how I see it.

He's looking for constructive criticism, take an example form the other answers, and if you have nothing nice to say, or you if really didn't care, then don't answer.
Quiiliitiila I think your computer is slow, as well Stabystab makes a good point, the game is not ALL about damage output. A class system may be balanced but each class contributes differently; recons can ambush and take over bases undetected, and through this manner damage would be lower, but points higher, the slashers are all about damage and maneuverability, but with no defence, so they are basically expected to fight constantly thus getting a high damage score, finally Guardians are designed to support teammates, and defend bases, with that in mind they may get decent damage, and a lot of defense points.
Thats really if you play the classes just as they should be, but unique styles are always evident. No one plays the same.
is the set fully level?
the second swing of a DA/GF will usually kill people even if the first didn't connect.
maybe you are bad. who knows.
