GF takes a LONG time to
GF takes a LONG time to recover from, which means death in pvp and lots of getting hit in PvE. Nightblade's recovery time is a lot shorter.

I have an SN with VH on
I have an SN with VH on slime, and thanks to it, I can solo the JK without issues. Granted I will die here and there, but otherwise, I suggest the nightblade series. It is my second SN, im trying to sell my old one. it has low vs slime.

Acheron it's easier to use
Acheron it's easier to use like all 3-hit combo swords, you can shield up after the combo faster than with Grand Faust. GF looks badass, but you'll have to learn how to use this 2-hit sword and when do the full combo.
Also the charge attack doesn't curse you and deals tons of damage, too bad doesnt leaves an status like other brandish swords.
I used Gran Faust for a long time. Then I tried Acheron. Now I use my GF only rarely. My key reason is this: The hardest shadow-vulnerable monsters in the game are gremlins in Strata 5 and 6. GF is a bit slow for them, while Acheron is fast enough. Acheron's charge attack is powerful enough, without the possibility of backfire. GF is probably better against slimes, but Acheron is nearly as good, and slimes are not as hard as gremlins. GF's curse is a significant advantage only against big monsters that take a while to kill, such as big lichen colonies. Well, there are my opinions; I hope they help.
