Hello, I'm Prisima. I will not say i am a pro in PvE or PvP. but i do dare say with the right teamwork, anyone can clear up the room within a minute.
Like every Team, all it's requires is the Right Attitude, Participation and Cooperation, even with the weakest Gear, the Team with the right set will beat it all.

There are a lot of uses of Metaphors ever since the old days of all warfare, text from both eastern and western, in the civilized ancient world and in the jungle, even until now metaphors has being utilize in a lot of thing. And i will use them here in this little short topic. And i will mostly talks about situations in PVE

Let's get this short.

Metaphor #1: The Sword

Like a Sword, a Good team will be build by a 4 common player with their own play-style, and their own type of gear. but with the right role-setting with the right mentality, the Perfect Sword will be formed. This team can be the ultimate team, but with a draw back. the mentality of it can only be set if all players have mutual respect with each and everyone, but not all players are like that, some thinks they're superior than another, that in any sense, is a bad thing. But there is something to remember, every Guild has their own Team, everything team has their specific traits and their uniqueness in either PVP or PVE, every Team has their unique way to form the "Perfect" Sword.

Sword's Role
#1 The Tip of the Sword, Here are the Players who will deal the most damage.
The Tips can be anyone with the right gear, when assisted by the Blade, its damage is the most painful to any monster or even bosses
example, the one that kills the Trojan in one or two shots of blitz needle, the one that deals the most damage to JK

#2 The Blade, Here are the the players that will be the Wingman of the Tip, also will be the one that will soften up the enemy by mass.
The Blades are usually, made up of practically everyone. the Gunman with the right Gun, the Bomber with the Right bomb, the Swordman with the right sword. Example, Gunman with the Polaris, the Bomber with the right bombs, the Swordman that assist the Tip. This can also be the one that control the Switch in Twin Puppies

#3 The SwordGuard, Here are the players who will be less likely to die if they're defensive, usually play as the distraction to the monster, assisting the Blade or the Tip, and also probably the one that will set the monster in Position. they will also soften up the enemy by mass if needed.
Just like the Blade, it can be anyone, but most noticeable the Bomber, the one with the status Bombs. With any Bombs, he isn't just protected the whole, he will also be able to set monster into position where the blade can finish them off, if not the Tips. The Swordguard wont deal a lot of damage, but a knock in the nose from the swordguard. dude, it hurtzzzzzz. Occasionally the Bomber is a Nitro Bomber, he creates a safe haven at the corner

#4 The Handle, sometimes can be the weakest, sometimes can be the strongest. When the sword breaks, the only things that will still remains in your hand will be the Handle, if lucky, the SwordGuard as well. and it is the hand that held this Handle will forge this sword back to form. The Handles are usually the one that save your life, that save everyone's life, even at point of using lots of CE just to save you.
The handle are usually the most resilient, they are less likely to die, always trying to survive, winding tru the monster and assist as much as he can, but he may or may not have the right gear, but without him, they will be no Sword.

P.s. there's a lot of Tip and Blade in Spiral Knight, but they isn't a whole lot of Swordguard and Handle. Ego, brah.

Metaphor #2 The Warrior.
I learn this from a Korean Comic. and i love the idea. In every team, when the Sword is failed to perform correctly, the Warrior will form the Sword back up again. This team are more likely to happen than the Sword. When a team lack of direction and clarity of roles. the warrior will be formed.

A warrior is formed by 4 factors, the Head, the Sword, The Shield, and the Legs
#1 The Head, he will be the one that gets the team together.
#2 The Shield, He will be the one that puts the team into position, the safest Position, or the perfect position to deal the highest damage.
#3 The Sword, He will be the one that deals the higher damage that the head or the shield chooses.
#4 The Legs, He will be the one that carries the whole team.

there is a common case of having Two Heads in the Team, this team is most likely to fail, unless the heads are good friends, or even partners.
there is also a common case of having two swords in the team without the shield. You can find a whole lot of them in Lockdown. WHen you see two scouts armed with faust, or dA, or barb chasing after you. you know what it is.
There is a rare case of having two shields or Legs tho. You might see them sometimes in Lockdown. 2 or 3 guardians, going into a CP together, the Heal Rates is delicious. oh VT or Shiver preventing you guys from coming out from the spawn point, that's them too. hehehehe
P.s. without any of the component in PvE, the warrior will fall and die. Especially in Boss Mode.

Metaphor #3 ZergRush/Superheroes/Kamikazees
this is filled with Zergrushing, sword-slashing kamikazees, front-line banging american football Superheroes.
if you found yourself to be in this team, quit immediately. and no im not joking. they rely on pure brute strength and numbers. only by small chances that you can reach to the elevator with full health. oh btw these guys are mostly newcomers or noobs. some of them will be great in solo, but most likely, tactical-wise they just... you know... suck. almost no teamwork at all. there is a whole lot of that in Lockdown too. when they are being told to stay together, they decided to go superhero on a Captured point filled with "im-gonna-kill-you"s

Metaphor #4 the Leech
If he's your friend, than i guess that's okay. but when you see a person who join, purposely kill himself and then went brb like baking garlic bread or whatever. you can either kick him or w/e. he will leave a sour taste in your mouth.

Metaphor #5 The Octopus or quad-o-pus or tri-o-pus if you want to put it this ways

The Octopus has only two roles.
The Heads and the rests are tentacles, sometimes it's just tentacles. hehehe
With all teammates know what they need to do, they separate into different direction, but ended up finishing the tasks perfectly. Most noticeable when you go to one of the floor in FSC that is filled with rooms.

p.s. they're pros

if you guys have more, please lemme know and teach me ;D
oh btw, if by any chance that you and your teammate, during a JK run, are able to finish off a cluster of Jellys and everything nice in under 8 seconds. you're a pro.

Soldier to his Troops: "If

Soldier to his Troops: "If fighting is sure to sure to result in victory, then you must Figth!! Tsun Zhu said that. And I'd say he knows a little bit more about fighting then you do, pal, because he invented it. Then he perfected it so that living man could best him in the ring of honor. Then he used his fight money to buy 2 of every animal on earth. And then he herded them into a boat, and then he beat the crap out of every single of them."

Joking aside, given the weak organizational nature of the game, the most successful teams are actually the Motley Crew. Sounds similar to #5, but very distinct in the fact that not only can they function as individuals, but they can easily stack strengths, cover weaknesses, and switch tactics with very little coordination. Individual failure doesn't doom the team as a whole, but failure for "someone" to perform a task does.

Cailbur=Pwn'd

The ExCalibur:

This knight looks like every other knight that wields a leviathan, however, he wields the sword with such skill that he is often the last to fall, and can carry teams through difficult situations. All he needs is this sword and nothing else.

AKA: The Handle, but with a Cailbur.
-------
Putting this here since I love the calibur more so than the DA or Gran Faust. When they introduced lockdown, I played a match and then went to help a friend with an arena floor. The only problem was that when I arrived, I had no shield, but I still had my Leviathan. We wound up beating all three arenas, with him dying on the third. That sword is my most valuable weapon in the whole game. And yes, I've used DA. The levi is a more all-around good sword than the DA is. Tho having both for FSC is pretty awe-inspiring.

Plus, it's spin attack is perfect for mobs. The knockback is so useful. And yes, I was wearing Vog, but I just abused the heck out of it's charge attack.

lost in translation

I actually have different names for them but they fill the same roles:

Metaphor #1: The Sword ( the meat shield.. must be said lovingly so they don't get offended )

#2 The Blade ( the dps / deeps.. i like the term deeps it just sounds kinkier )

#3 The SwordGuard ( the bait =3 )

#4 The Handle ( the anti-derp / derp-insurance >.< )

ooo edit.. for that one knight that just can't stop taking dirt naps.. I liken them to Heat-Fountains
