First:
I realize that naming and shaming is not allowed. I realize that punishment is doled out anonymously. So i phrase this question in a manner that honours both of those wishes by the good folks at OOO.

What is the punishment for scamming? This, in a scenario that involves a significant scam (thousands of Ce, not 2 monster bones), with cold, hard, undeniable proof! --such as screen shots where the scammer admits to the scam and mocks the scammee, and the CE transaction log proves this took place (as well as i am sure you guys can check and see if any items exchanged hands in the process).

In a situation such as this, what happens to scammers? Does the scammee get put back in the position they were?

I ask out of my own curiosity, a strong hope that there is justice in this cruel world of the cradle, and mostly because:

*****IF SCAMMERS KNOW THAT SCAMMING WILL GET THEM PERMABANNED, it will be a huge deterrent. as opposed to if they think "i think i can get away with this*******

p.s.
I did not get scammed. Just to pre-empt all those messages.

2nd p.s.
Please don't post random thoughts, examples of you being scammed, or names of those criminals. I would like for this to be a clear and clean thread with a concise answer from the Admins as to what the punishment is for intentionally and maliciously scamming hard working knights.

If you scam, you are banned

If you scam, you are banned as stated in the Terms of Service. The idea of being banned does not deter everyone from scamming for the same reason the idea of being imprisoned does not deter everyone from committing crimes.

Its also important to be wary

Its also important to be wary of trading with people who have cheap or low star gear when dealing with high ticket items. This is one sign of a disposable account, the other being uncreative knight names.
