Ignoring the fact that the price may or may not be too high still,
Ignoring the fact that it's kind of a kick in the face to people who opened a bunch of lockboxes prior to this patch (although that was their own doing),
Ignoring the fact that it may only be a temporary thing,
Thank you, OOO, for making access to new content guaranteed to anybody who has the CE that they are willing to spend. Although it may only be for a limited time, it is nice to not have to gamble or engage in a bid war against others for an ungodly crown amount just to experience a few more floors of the Clockworks.

It's temporary, but people will buy extras to save for when the sale ends (since we all know how expensive they can get!), hopefully keeping the price down for a while afterward.

Finally some semblance of sanity, this *might* just restore my faith in the game...although the fact that it is temporary suggests to me that this is an indication of the shadow key mechanic not working as intended...
Although i would prefer this to be a permanent change, for now I am happy that I can access new content without having to gamble for it....thanks OOO.

Well, since the shadow keys are new the demand is at a maximum while the supply is at a minimum. Give it some time and there will be more and more people who are just finished with the shadow lairs they wanted to complete.
While shadow gear now isn't even really better than other gear it is still the most high-end gear you can get, which makes it attractive. If there is gear introduced that is on a whole different level once the core opens that will also lower the demand for shadow gear and keys drastically.
So I'm sure the price for shadow keys will go down in the future from what we had before the sale, it's just a slow process and temporarily selling them cheap compared to the market price levels the curve somewhat.
i think i made a point earlier saying people who didn't gamble at the time would be happier if they waited instead...
