Bombers and pigtails

So I was flipping past Three Panel Soul today, and it reminded me of a curious little trend I noticed: Bombers wear pigtails. (Note the middle panel: firebreak + demo suit)
I've even noticed myself doing it as well, perhaps unconsciously. When I suit up for bombing, if I don't strap on one of my bombheads as a costume, I'll invariably gravitate towards my Emberbreak Helm. T1 PVP bombing? Emberbreak again. I'd probably stick it on my T2 as well if costumes were allowed.
Also I think we've solved the mystery of the missing wing accessories: Clearly Ian has been hoarding them all for himself! Down with the 1% controlling 80% of the accessories! Occupy Bechamel!

Out of curiosity, what is your sample size for determining that "Bombers wear pigtails."? You and Ian's doodle? :)
As a bomber and having played with other bombers, I don't recall every seeing anyone mixing bomber gear with pigtails.
I do agree with Dairi that there aren't enough girl-oriented equips. My wife gets annoyed by this, especially when she's wearing the jelly crown, as everyone assumes she's a guy.

Actually, I always thought the Drake Scale line and Angelic line sets were feminine in style, as both have armor that looks like a dress/skirt, and the angelic line even has a ponytail by default.
For your wife's Jelly King Crown (or really anyone's appropriate headgear) if you are able to afford them, you can try to find the Plume accessory that sticks to the back of the helmet like a ponytail: http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Plume

I use my Radiant Silvermail
I use my Radiant Silvermail (dress) and either Emerbreak Helm with a plume (3 pigtails!) or my Spiral Tailed Helm with a flower. I like my feminine look tyvm. :p

It's pretty much the only
It's pretty much the only helm that looks 100% female in the entire game.
It's obviously going to be common for that reason alone.

i guess the ones that stem from the angelic raiment should be dresses....
but the silvermail doesn't = [
