The Knights for hire thread made me think of another service I'd like to see someone offering, namely research (finding certain items/UVs in AH or trade chat) and/or surveillance (watching certain auctions or bidding on behalf of someone else).
I would certainly pay a nominal fee for having someone looking for a specific item I'm after, as I can't be on 24/7. If people offering said services are in a different timezone, all the more reason for using it.
I have no idea what people would expect to be paid for this, but it can't be much as it doesn't affect them much if they usually hang out in Haven anyway.
Does anyone else have any thoughts on this?
PS. No trolol posts on "offering services" please.
I can do that for recipes, mostly 4* and 5* and sometimes 3* and 2* because I mostly run t3 but sometimes I go do jk for a change of scenario... anyway
IGN:Ciopo
service 1: casually looking for a recipe (I.e. it happens to be at a basil of a run i was doing anyway)
fee: idk, 500 cr (derp), I would have run there anyway, but for 5* I may require having the recipe cost given to me before time, for I usually don't carry more than 10k in cr I convert to CE generally asap unless I have a 5* recipe I'm looking out for myself, suffice to say I'm not going to sell my CE to buy your recipe.
service 2: purposeful recipe hunting ( I.e. I go on a gate, speedrun the levels before basil as fast as possible (not killing stuff, not looting stuff etc), over and over again until basil have the desired recipe)
fee: time-based fee, since time is money, and averagely I make about 8k cr an hour, the fee would have to be at least that much for me to be worth doing, so hourly fee of 8k cr, payment precise at the minute ( so if it takes say 22 minutes because I find it at the third run, it would be 2,9k cr of fee)
