havent seen anyone post about em yet, there are preview pictures of two drone type monsters the winter wisp and Shankle on both spiral knights twitter and spiralknights facebook. XD just wanted to increase awareness that these pictures are out and maybe see what people think about them.

Mteagenic: Why should they? They're only drones that randomly walk and shouldn't really be that dangerous. I think you can compare them with the easiest enemies in NES Zelda.
It is implied that they are just two of the drone class monsters. I'm sure there will be more, at least as many as the status conditions there are.
And if we take a hint from the previous facebook & twitter posts about new content (why they aren't made also in the forum? derp?), it'll go live tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. yay.

The Shankle looks pretty low to the ground. I wonder if they're making it like the grass, where guns will just shoot over the top of it. That makes sense, since they name sounds like it's attacking your ankles.
The Winter Wisp reminds me A LOT of the Mario 2 enemy that followed you when you had a key.

Those things were a pain in the ass.. and pretty damn scary when I was younger.
Wisps are status condition dealing monsters, while the spiny shankles deal damage. Something for everyone!
The shankles remind me of what would happen if Vanaduke sat on a rock jelly...

They look like they'll be really annoying and a pain to hit (because of size and/or speed).

Although, if they are truly ankle biters and they exist in, say, FSC, that'll be really annoying. There's little room to maneuver in to start with. );
They look like random tokens with spikes/legs on them O_O I don't know if anyone else what think this too, i guess it's just me LOL. I hope they won't be terrifying :<

Stop scaring us with that Winter Wisp. It looks too much like that mask thingy mah jig O.O. Mario and Luigi just stole my Silver Keys and Shadow Keys to save my LIFE from that thing. Oh... Wait... Not out yet and... Can you ban those to stache boys? They scammed me. =[

@Batabii Because it's been incredibly long time since some of us have played Mario 2, and nobody probably felt like looking up their names at the time, hehe.
In other words, I'm really curious to see where these drone monster will go (Game play wise hehe), and what, if any, other drones there might be. From what I can tell, the Shankles look to be a type of Slime, whilst the Wisps are...well, taking a wild guess, I'm gonna say undead, given their actual name. They don't look very undead though. Heck, for all I know, it could be a familyless monster that's simply acts as an obstacle, but then it wouldn't be even considered a monster then, I think.
I'm also going to assume there are different status varieties of Wisps, with the winter obviously being a Freeze status condition.
Ah well, only time will tell. I wonder if this has anything to do with the tortodrone.
When I first read about drones, I thought we would get something that would let us beat the crap out of it without it trying to kill us in retaliation, like the Mewkat.
Shankle looks kind of like those spike things from the zelda games.

I really hope these Shankles come springing up from those uneven floor tiles in ambush (and then carry on in a random fashion).

They look reasonably believable, though I kinda expected something more threatening. Like something that could literally beat the hell out of your avatar if you provoked it.
