Tl;Dr Make the Christmas event set-up more like the Halloween one & let us keep the hats.

I like collecting costume items, I like dressing up my char and looking unique- the major reason to play this game is collecting equipment for your character. But no collector wants to return to their collection and find pieces of it missing! And it being holiday themed is even sadder. It's like coming down Christmas morning celebrating , "Hey! Look what we got! :D This is mine! Huzzah! ... What? Santa's coming back for the gifts at the end of January AND he's making us pay for them now? How disappointing." The game takes the hats back after 30 days, well why even bother working to get it?

I much preferred what you did at Halloween, with the costume hats AND finding the special areas. That was great, my friends and I loved that. I'll admit, I played a LOT more with the new challenge of finding Jack/Punkin King, and the guild worked together as a team searching for him, filling any available space in the party with guildies needing candy. I saved up for all three costume helmets and happily wear them whenever I want, hoping for new costumes next year so mine stay unique- a reward to people who have been playing so long. I was sad the paper ones expired, especially as the one with the paper bit on the front looked kind of like a spy costume. But most people were ok with those expiring since they could buy and keep the best costumes, and they were cheap so those who didn't want to save up for the expensive ones could get SOMETHING at least. Those who already had the fancy ones could chuck our extra candy toward something useful before it expired. If it had used gold crowns it would have been a great gold sink.

Now they all expire, there aren't special collectables to use tword getting them, and the special areas don't do anything but look different. (I've heard some have special drops but I nor anyone I personally know in the game has yet to see any areas like this themselves.) There is no special event, no new goal, only eye candy. This event by comparison is disappointing. Not trying to criticize, but sharing my opinion as a lot of people feel the same way but don't take the time to write it. This is for my fellow gamers who want to keep the game awesome and intriguing. :3
