You do have a point, but with the fact you need to also buy energy to venture deeper and get the materials, it amounts to about 13,500.
And although giving materials to people asking them to craft is a good idea, you MAY (not saying that anyone is a scammer) get scammed.
Also there is an added nuisance of giving it to someone to craft, especially if you are following an alchemy path:
They need the prequel to upgrade.
For example, I was trying to get a brute jelly shield today, a step up from my jelly shield. I handed an alchemist the materials, energy, and crowns, only for us to remember you need the jelly shield in the alchemy recipe.
I would've given him the jelly shield, but due to the fact I used it several times before, I ended up not being able to make it.
I'm fairly certain that 9.5k is still cheaper than buying a 3star weapon from a vendor. >.>
You could also get someone else to craft it for you (for the most part), which eliminates the cost of the recipe.
