Quiz/Scams
Just wondering what people think of those quizzes you sometimes see in Haven run by players. How it normally functions is, the questions are guesses about random things like guess the real name of the player, guess how many minerals they have or whatever. Then a final round where you have to PAY to answer questions. I saw one earlier and couldn't believe how many people were wasting their crowns taking random pot shot guesses at the quizzer's real name.
Is there any official stance on this? Seems like a scam to me. It's very easy to multibox and pretend someone is winning prizes from the quizzes while other people are wasting crowns and ce.

There'll likely not be an official stance against it. It's not stealing or hacking at the end of the day, it's exactly like real life scams; if you willingly give them your money and it is a scam, that's your choice, your decision and your loss.
If, however it's not a scam then you're gettin' someone in trouble for a legitimate business, which is hardly fair on them, is it?

I understand your thinking, considering that theres always people trying to scam others, and because of that very reason i decided to participate in one of this quiz games, entry was free so why not? i did not expect to win anything though, i was like this has to be riged but to my surprise i won a accesory and some mats of my choose.
Yes, "grand prize" question had a fee, but it was completly optional, being a greedy basta... i didnt pay even after winning stuff lol, also the fee was only 10ce and many were willing to pay it,just as a thanks gesture. Even someone offered a donation of 100ce during the middle of the game and the host declined, he/she took the game very seriously and i belive calling it a scam is not fair.
If there was a trivia like this, then I know I didn't set that up. I set up lots of trivia competitions myself (as Mightyputty) though :D

All the quizzes I've participated in have not had any fees.
Generally I'd be sceptical to fees, but Jay-Dee's experience sounds legit and fair (a good host deserves something in return for holding a good quiz imo).

Even at that, many of the "good host" quizes and such will only take fees specifically to pay out the grand prize; that way they can give a high valued prize that's not out-of-pocket, like the smaller prizes, and at the expense of only those willing to gamble and try to get the prize.
Just lol
