There are as many scenario rooms as that as there are monster families.
If you'll notice that the crystals at the sides change colours as well, coincidentally with the same coloured crystals required to make a gate with that monster family...
It's basically the ingame flavour scenario room version of:

Notice, on the wiki: blue/yellow: construct (represented by a scuttle)

No idea whatsoever. Never seen a scuttle like that...maybe the scenario map was made based on an older or unreleased version of a scuttle? Or perhaps a newer, yet-to-be released version...
Or it's just an extra flavour for the scenario room that we missed.

I have no idea Softs. If you talk to that Geo Knight, you may find out information. You can listen to him multiple times and he has several different responses that are randomly given every time you listen to him I think.
Secret: I once found a nearly identical Scenario Room except that Scuttlebot was substituted with an Ironclaw Mender.
