Energy blasts and revives: What is your opinion?

Energy blasts and energy revives:
I would like to ask you: Have you even revived yourself using 1000 ce? Do you think the maximum is too high? What was the highest costing revive in the history of your character?
My opinion:
I think we can all agree, anyone who has revived themself using 1000 ce has a blast which is AWESOME. I wish I could get such an awesome blast, but I would not ever dream of using 1000 ce for it. Lightning shoots into the air, a huge blast radius, all monsters stunned! Awesome! LIKE A BOSS!! BRAGGING RIGHTS! But... Is it worth the epic awesomeness of such revives? http://wiki.spiralknights.com/images/d/d1/2011-11-12_00006.jpg .To die enough to get to the 1000 ce revive, you need 10+20+40+80+160+320+640+1000= 2270 CE! Whoa. That is a lot of ce, about 3 dollars worth of money. I do not think it is worth it, except in the testing server. Please do not troll me because of this post, just wondering... How do you feel about revives? Have YOU ever revived yourself with 1000 ce, or seen someone who did?
DISCLAIMER: I am NOT complaining. Complaining would be like asking OOO to buff the prize wheel. Just asking if you ever used the max revive and seen the explosion. Totally neutral in this topic. Thank you.
thats from test server
the dmg buff can be worth reviving for that cost for 2 reasons
1: used for getting highest dmg ingame possible(for the kicks)
2: speed runs - die often and revive at boss of ur choice to finish him off asap(for the kicks)

Eh, by the time the revives reached 320 I bet most people would be discouraged enough to go back to Haven.

A perfect caption for that picture:
'Like a BAWSS'

I am also temped to waste 2270 CE JUST to see that explosion. But I agree with Metagenic. Most people would go to haven instead of waste 320 CE, unless it was a shadow lair. If you feel like wasting the energy, give it to me before getting suicidal and wasting it. :D

The most I've ever seen someone do was 320. It was some kid, who had bought ce. It kind of made me mad, being so wasteful.

If you really need that explosion to carry you, then your playstyle has a problem.

Yeah I hate when party members spend a ton of CE on revives, since it makes me feel bad for them and distracts me from playing well. 40 is my limit on Vana and I won't revive for 80; anywhere else and 20 is my limit. In a shadow lair I'd probably revive at 160, but I would be very very sad about it.
The 1000 CE explosion in that picture is pretty weak compared to what I would expect. Sure it's huge and knocks the enemies out of the way, but it's only 112 damage, which is like one attack. Doesn't seem much better than a Nitronome. I think the energy cap on revives is too high (it should probably be at 200), and the explosions could be a little stronger, too. Energy is precious, and revives don't really respect that.

It's a surprise that this game gives you any extra lives at all; if you have the Iron Skull modifier on in Halo 3's Legendary campaign, one death and you're back at the start of the mission. SK is already more forgiving than the other hardcore games out there, and the point of expensive revives is to prevent the game from becoming any easier.

I agree, max revive explosion should be 200 ce max. Honestly, who is stupid enough? And if you are, can you post a video of the revive blast?

Oah...
Mah...
Gawd...
Pardon me, I must retrieve my jaw that just hit the floor and my socks that just blew off...

Well, 200 CE for a revive is not exactly a friendly, low cap. This isn't an arcade, and I'm not spending $0.50 worth of energy for an extra life. Also, SK is totally not a hardcore game.

I did it in Unknown Passage on the first run i was there. I had a serious agenda on getting thru it, and i was blowing CE like crazy. I was...unimpressed..but I imagine using the 1000ce blast anywhere else would be a lot more useful. Unknown Passage mobs just really couldn't care, and there's plenty more where they came from anyway.

i go solo as far as i can on T3 every day i'll revive myself once for 10 and sometimes 20, like today so i could get an extra ghost bell i revived myself for 20 so 20 is my max usually i think i might have vived for 40 when i was a noob on a jk run. Side note; the most CE i ever used to revive myself was 8ish. Well i never bought CE with money so i have to be thrifty with it

My girl got this screeny a few weeks ago.

Should be noted that every one of those rev's were performed on strat5, before FSC and that they never managed to kill Vana. Most expensive Vana attempt ever, I ask?

Amazing, although energy revives should only be when EVERYONE is dead and the timer is tick tick ticking away. Such a common mistake. Whenever I do a JK run with someone, when someone revs for 5 energy, I hate it. I feel like screaming at them: HEY! HEY! Save your revives for the bossfight, STUPID!
But I used to do that all the time, wasting all of my mist in 5 levels. Or maybe back then I was just a meatshield. Probably both. And I can also understand how you desperately tried to get to your first Vanaduke/Jelly king/Meowmulus twin bossfight. Whenever it is your first run, you are probably a meatshield and so desperately want to get to the bossfight at all costs.

Could someone post a video or post of the blast? That would be awesome. :D

I just did a JK run with only two levels during lunch break. I completely used up all my mist in the Jelly King bossfight, even though I was experiencing epic lag, using up as much as 40 mist energy, my largest revive cost ever XD.

Never... got to Level 2 Energy Blast. It just kept saying "You have perform level 1 Energy Blast bla bla bla..." I hate it.
Hooow on earth do you have 5000 mist energy?
