Let me rephrase that,
Will it drop beside the puppy or will it drop at a place where you can get to it?
I.e. if it tries to spawn on air will it be moved to the next accessible spot?

also, I dont think any monster from spawners can drop any item other than hearts

I guess I was hoping for the effect of dropping vials, as in when the spot is occupied it spawns beside it, but if it doesn't drop a trinket at all then the question is moot

well...........I guess what you were planning to do was more or less this:
go to D25
camp at D25
go to puppy room
bring out polaris/alchemer/AP/whatever-you-need
aim it at puppy
slaughter puppy
wait
puppy repawns
repeat
were you thinking of doing this to get a trinket? it might be worth a shot but I dont think any monster from a spawner can drop stuff, otherwise there will be a whole bunch of exploits that ppl can do.
what you can do, if you are really bored, is kill it and see how many times it takes to get a love puppy

And even if the first trinket stayed on the puppy tile, I thought that maybe the second trinket (probably after hours shooting), with having no space on the tile would find the next available space on a tile that can be accessed
I might try it anyway when I really have nothing better to do :P

Pretty sure that re-spawning mobs don't drop anything, so I doubt that there'll ever be a trinket drop from that particular one.

There have been instances of
There have been instances of a Love Puppy spawning on that spot in FSC and dropping a Heart Pendant. The person (people?) it happened to was smart enough to put in a support request and sat their butt down until a GM showed up to get them their prize.
Last I heard they fixed it so that nothing is dropped from any spawns there, Love Puppy or Rocket Puppy.

Yes, it can. There was a whole thread on it, in fact, and it had dropped a true love locket.
