I wish there was an easier way of grouping up with friends for Lockdown. I don't mind playing with random players, but I think it would be even funner to group with people I know. Is there any possibility of seeing a feature like this in the future?
I would also love to have the ability to challenge other players to duels, similar to requesting a trade. This feature could be limited to areas such as the Advanced Training Hall, or the Arcade, to prevent combat around busy areas such as the Auction House.
I feel as though the player versus player community in Spiral Knights is very limited right now, and these ideas could really work to improve the variety and options available to the SK PvP community. I welcome any thoughts or suggestions.
Closest you have now is just joining at the same time. The reason it's not generally made easy though is to avoid the "stacking" problem that a lot of games have. All you'd need to do is stack your guild/friends all together and coordinated with a plan, then join up and you get put against a random team; the odds are completely pushed in your favour and that "random match" suddenly became "team vs. random group" which is highly unfair.
They want to encourage group vs. group play in guild matches, or random vs. random.
If you want to play with your friends, just have them all leave and then join the match on a count of 3; the odds are you'll all be in the same match, but not guaranteed to be in the same team.
