I believe that with the new mission interface, that you should still spawn in haven when logging in. It makes it easier for those who don't feel like doing a mission or arcade-run at the time (meaning they will chat, buy, sell, etc.). It just would make things easier from my perspective.
Don't flame, I could be wrong, but from what I've seen: Whenever I log in with the new update, I'm at that new room where you decide to do a mission or go to haven.

I prefer loading in the ready
I prefer loading in the ready room, personally. It loads much, much faster than any area in Haven.

I don't like the ready room...
I LOVE the new ready room!
The detail to me looks so clear, it's smooth, I can chat without even loading, I can attend to what I need besides buying/selling/crafting and choose what I want to do!
So yeah!
I like the change. And it's a simple matter to click 'Go to Haven' so it's not so bad for those who want to skip the room.

Compromise?
I personally love the new ready room aesthetically, but since I haven't really done a whole lot with missions as of now, Haven is still relevant for me.
Why not just make an in-game option that determines whether you log into Haven or into the ready room?

I love the ready room. But I forsee a time in the future where i may not.
I agree it makes the game seem more mission based than anything else
