I noticed this in Operation:Crimson Hammer but just waved it off as a minor hiccup, as my team was doing a speed run at the time; but the bug returned in "Return of the Axes of Evil". Gremlin corpses are apparently still recognized as enemies, so monster gates will not fall and subsequent waves of monsters will not spawn until all corpses vanish. This can be solved by slaying gremlin menders first, or saving constructs for last, but these are not always tactically feasible.
