I've been stuck on this mission for a few days now because I am unable to obtain 2 brimstones to craft the Hot Edge needed to complete this mission. I have 1 brimstone but have failed to find another one for a few days now. Is there a place where I could easily get one?

That depends I suppose. I like getting the tokens myself, no need to find a cheap seller. And tokens are rather numerous if you put in a decent amount of time.
Of course, saving up 100 of each token and vendoring a trinket is probably the best way to liquidate tokens.

Token -> Crowns
Actually, buying certain mats and selling them gets a better reward than saving up 100 and selling a trinket. The problem is the market for said mats are so small that they can be completely destroyed by either:
1) Stupid people posting a 2000 crown item for 800 crowns
2) Flooding the market and dropping the price
I used to be able to turn 10 Grim Sparks into 2500 crowns by selling Ghost Bells. Now the market has changed, but a few minutes of scribbling down numbers and AH skimming can end up to be far more profitable than selling the trinket.
However, people are lazy. That is how SK makes money really (quite clever actually IMO). So ignore this post if you want to.

If you want to get one from a mission or in the clockworks, play a fiend level. (Dark blue gates.) It's only a 1* material, so they are pretty common in any tier.

I tried selling token bought materials, but apparently they bind when you pick them up so you can't sell them.

Also, Brimstone drops from Silkwings and other fiends, so it might be good if you could find a Fiend stratum or something... but they're pretty cheap if you ask in /trade channel to buy them.

Basically if you want stuff, check the Auction House first, sorting by buyout price. Things like Brimstone are going to be really cheap, as well as 2* weapons (and generally 3* stuff too, although that's not quite as pronounced). I didn't know about the Auction House when I started playing and wasted a lot of my newbie money buying stuff I could have just got there.

As others have said you can use tokens. Each token is worth at least 100cr (vendoring 100 token trinkets for 10kcr). Brimstones probably go for less than 200cr on the AH, so that would be cheaper than 2 tokens at brinks. I would just go to the AH and buy the cheapest buy now brimstone.

But then again I'm just splitting hairs. I'd say that those materials are bound, but for the purposes of this person's mission, the materials you get from Brinks, let alone the materials he needs for the mission, do not bind.

I believe you need to make both the Frost Gun and Hot Edge. Then, have them available in your inventory, and then try the mission. If you have both the items, a box will appear saying something like "Toggle Arsenal", which you can just check off and then start the mission to get some nice rewards (You get your Hot Edge and Frost Gun back too)

I have both but still locked
I have both the Frost gun and the Hot edge, I have tried everything, toggling my inventory, restarting. No matter what I try I does not want to unlock.
I also went and spoke to Bosco but that did not help.
What do I try next? I currently only have 71cr could that be an issue?

Did you unequip said items? You cant turn in any equipment that is currently equipped. Swap to your proto sword/gun and then try again.

Reread the post above you.
If you notice in your token section of the inventories, you can find certain tokens with "spark" at the end. The token trader in bazaar trades most materials for the right tokens. Brinks, his name was.
