Keeping the location a secret seems kinda stupid. Now, if you mean keeping any rounds past preliminary secret, I could see some sense in that (though I'll have you know that didn't work for Tersakoff either). As is, you're just gonna get a flooded with PMs. Could set up an autorespond, but then your filtering is for naught.
Now to figure out what timezone the server is in with the timestamp of this post...

Myllaaaaaaa! I've been wondering what happened to ya! Yeah I'll be pretty caught up with school this month, which is why I'm moving the contest till May. But hey, things will get ugly before they get pretty! School will end, then summer vacation!.. unless you are planning on doing something time consuming during that time too. Well hope you get your stuff straightened out so you can get back on SK!

Just an update on Prizes.
I pretty much have conjured up the CE for the first prize winners, which is 10k CE. So at this rate, I'll have the CE for the other places. SO.... turns out that I might increase the prizes :3

Great Idea gotta say.
This needs to get more popularity, so i suggest we go and open out in trade, cuz there are a lot of people out there with cool costumes just waiting to earn some ****.
And about the prizes, im not complaining, it is pretty decent, but considering the amount of money some of the people put in, in tersakoff's costume contest, the prize wont cover that. So if someone new is gonna join, he is gonna be like, oh i wanna enter, but i dont wanna waste my ce on some piece of graphic on my avatar..
Uv'd items are great, as long as they are on the right item. For ex: Gremlin VH on a Devine Avenger is stupid, but the same on a Faust is obviously good.
So yeah, its a good idea. You could put it like this:
2 (or 3 up to you) VH uv's for 1st place
2 ( '' '' '' ) High uv's for 2nd place
2 (or 3 up to you) Med uv's for 3rd place.
Although med UVs are kinda useless you can make it 3 high for the 2nd place and 1 high for the 3rd but then again, its your money.
And yes, i'd definitely want to join this contest. I will enter the Open and the Ugly Categories. And if there is a slight change, as in i run across a decent UV and mint huge amounts of money, i might enter that tough category and maaaaybe the pretty category cuz ... well i am male but, ill take that as handsome B)
But face it, in this game, the only way to show someone "Who you lookin' at, b*tch" Is to carry a devine avenger with asi vh, ctr vh and dmg bonus vs undead vh ;;; A final flourish with asi vh, ctr vh and dmg bonus vs fiend vh or other such extremely usefull uvs. Altho accessories do play a part, for me, whenever i inspect someone, i roll over to thier weps to look at thier uvs.

Hmm...
...Just this once, I may decide to see what these costume contests are like.
After all, I have been working on my costume for quite some time, I guess I can come in and let people judge me on how it looks.
@Devil-Xtreme I carry the entire Brandish line (all 5*s) just to say I have them all. Their UVs are not always great, but they sure are something to look at when your someone randomly inspecting people and you see someone with the entire line on their person.
@Blueknighter That depends on the item and the UV, overall using CE as prizes is somewhat easier as its much more liquid than a good UV weapon is. Sure UV items may draw in more attention, but if you are getting it only to sell it, wouldn't you just want the CE instead?

CTR VH is very usefull since all brandish lines have TONS of bursts.
ASI VH is also really usefull as it can swipe faster than a dtb.
Dmg bonus VH is also usefull... imagine a beast vh on an acheron.

Please tell you realize how absurdly expensive giving away a triple VH UV would be? Good double VH UVs can go for 30k ce, nevermind that ive never seen a triple high, but imagine a triple max UV wolver coat, that'd go for over 100k ce easily.

On the UV'd items.
They may be med UV'd stuff, like a sealed sword with CTR med (been getting those a lot), and ASI med flourish, stuff like that. No, VH UV's would be too much to give out, unless it's something like VH beast on a Autogun. As it is, med UV's sell for like 2-3k ce, so it could be bonuses besides the 2k CE. Of course, the 2nd and 3rd prizes might get something too.

@Treizeknight: You can enter as many categories as you wish, but each category has to have a different costume. Yeah you pretty much answered why I'm doing different entries, cause it would just ruin uniqueness.
UPDATE ON UV'D WEAPON PRIZES: I've decided not to give these out because they might not be of use to the people who get them. CE prizes are better because they leave you open with the option to do whatever you want with it. You can only do so much with a UV'd weapon (most of you would sell them anyways). But, I'll focus now on raising the prize amount ;)
Also, I added some guidelines to the judging procedure. Check it out, it's just a minor requirement.

I'm totally up for this. Also, I got a curious question to ask: Of all the accessories I've wanted so badely, it's been the prismatic glow-eyes, as they would complete the look and representation of my character. Buuuut, of course I don't have the time or crowns to acquire them, so what I did instead was use the 'preview' option in the Auction House while wearing the set of armor I wanted it with, and then I took a snap shot of it. So, chiefly speaking, am I allowed to use this preview in the contest? If not, that's understandable, and I'll still submit my original character.
Looking forward to this ;)

Understandable.
And hey, don't get me wrong, I love being creative, I've had a lot of joy in putting together the looks of my armor with whatever fell into my lap from promotions or lock boxes (With the exception of a single dusky accessory that I had to FIGHT LIKE CRAZY over on the auction house about 2-3 times because they had no buy out; only to get one that DID in the end). It's just that the prismatic eyes would complete the look I wanted for my character outright (That, and he feels 10 times more badass).
So yeah, I'm probably going to sign up for the TOUGH category ;).
EDIT: I'm also probably going to enter my alternate look into the OPEN category, since I've also enjoyed making that a lot.

Haha well the secret spot is just going to be one of the foreign Haven's, most likely the French or German one. But if that idea is not sounding good to you guys (You'd be one of the others who doesn't like it), then I guess I can make some changes.
EDIT: I've decided to make a guild for the event. After thinking it through, it's really the only way to really keep impostors from intruding. So if you plan on participating, make plans with your fellow Officers or GM's so they can allow you back into your guild after the contest is over.
I'm also going to add a receptions list on the OP so I won't have to do preliminaries. So if you are planning on joining the contest or to spectate, let me know so I can add you to the list. It's important for you to be in the list because how else will I know that you are planning to go if you are not on the list?

BTW, I think it would be neat to have an additional category (next time around, maybe) where shields and weapons are counted. They can be as much a part of a particular look as the costumes themselves; it would be nice to see what people could do with wepaon/shield/costume combinations.

Oh.. also.. I have two costumes, one is with a violet chap that will go in the rose category but, I want to use my deadly-violet tab in the open category. It's unfair to disqualify rose sets out of the rose category, please rethink that

Added to the list.
Made changes for the Open category. I'll now allow parts of the Rose sets in it, but NOT a full set. So only a Tabard or a Chapeau. So technically, you can enter 2 costumes with a Rose set piece, but not the same costume.
Another point that I'll go ahead and mention, even tho no one has really asked me about it. Even if you win, I'll allow you to enter as many categories as you want. Note that if you won in a previous category, more than likely I won't let you win again to give the others a chance to win. But, if your costume is just really good, I might award you another prize.
Yet ANOTHER time change, seeing that noon is a conflict for us all. Contest will be at 4pm server time.
