Observe that the Clockworks may not be a planet in the traditional sense, nor are its inhabitants exactly "benign" in their ways. The patchwork quality of the surrounding environs suggest that our presence here may not be entirely out of place.

Only Cradle's inhabitants would consider us aliens. We consider ourselves knights (Not humans, cause I would be extremely worried if I saw a human looking like a spiral knight...). All a matter of perspective, as jaunes said.
