So, why did you leave YOUR guild?

Maybe we can catalog and tally the reasons people leave.
1. boredom
2. just wanted a change
3. guild master was not very good
4. conflict with other guildmates
5. too much drama
6. too much guild chat
7. wanted to join friend in another guild
8. liked the emphasis of another guild better
9. felt disrespected
10. decided I didn't like guilds in general
11. was getting asked for help and crowns too much
12. not enough active members
There's a dozen to start us off. Remember, this is not an opportunity to personally attack someone, but feel free to share your "horror story" if you have one,

left my first because inactivity as well. When I left, it's like, only 2 guildies online :(
befriended some officers/members that are close to me when I was there. Also, since the GM is inactive, the officer that I'm friend with is now the GM of the guild D: and now it has become a decent guild again :)

Left my first Guild, Heavy Knights, due to Leader Inactivity & lack of Members. (Was like Guild Leader & 3 Guys, Including me.) This was about 5 Weeks in Spiral Knights.
Joined Luminous because a Friend wanted me to Join. Never thought about Leaving it. Awesome Leader, Helpful Guildmates, & an Informative Guild Chat.

I was In a good, in fact GREAT LD guild... But the people there weren't so chatty, and they weren't really funny... most of them... A few were (And are) Utter lulz.
Really though, If I hadn't left, I'd have been quite unhappy for a while... and wound up bored and not a HIPSTER D: Which would be unimaginable ! x3
trololol!
Not only am I famous, but I inspire Hipster...ness... Yeah.
~Tsu

I left my first guild because of major inactivity, second because low amount of members and I will never leave my 3rd guild, Ty ivy league :) 1st guild was ROFL pirates 2nd clockwork crafters .....

Left the one I was in for the longest time because of 3, 5, and kinda 9. Psst, it was a Guild.

I made my own. It's amazing. Like a certain horse I've heard a song about.

People leave guilds on their own accord?
The only times I've been away from EoS is when i get bored, kick people for simply that reason & get kicked in return
Then i get to go hit up reparty so it's all alright

Why do I leave Echo of Silence:
1. To join Echo of Sausage
2. Dogrock was mean to me since I did not give him pills, so he kicked me from Eos.
3. To join Reign of Choobski
4. To join a guild named Njthug
5. Because I had to join Unity to touch Cootiecakes
6. To touch my other friends in other guilds.
7. A large black woman took over Echo of Silence to become the next Hitler.
8. Dogrock wishes to show off his muscles so he kicks me (rarely happens he knows I got bigger guns than him).
9. Dogrock and I get in a fight since I won't cuddle with him while he sleeps.
10. Dogrock yells at me for eating the last slice of pizza.....
11. My guild is filled up with bullies who make me pay them 20k ecto drops...for a 1 second recording..
12. They make me broke by wasting ce on stupid stuff..so I leave
And many more reasons...But honestly Eos turnover rate as a whole is about 15 kids leaving our guild on there own (15 being the max). We tend to just be chilling and touching each other.

My first guild was great, they teached me most of things about SK, thanks to them i acquired some skill in gameplay but the thing was that there were mostly US ppl in that guild so they started logging on while i was about to go sleep so either i was on all day alone or we could do just a quick run before i go to sleep.
Thats why, despite of how nice ppl in first guild were and how helpful, i had to move on to a guild with players from other countries.

My first guild ever...
I joined it when I first started out in T2. Someone was recruiting and I thought I'd join it.
The guild wasn't huge, but it was fairly ok. The members where nice and all, and the guild leader kept making jokes at my expense I didn't really get, but overall, it was ok.
The problem was that every single member then just about offlined.
I waited for ages. I have this thing for loyalty, so I wasn't going to just bail because I didn't give the guild a chance.
I waited about 2 months. Nothing.
A member would log on, mess around a bit then log off occasionally.
A while later, after the update that allowed you to see last login day, I check over my whole guild.
Besides me, there had only been 2 others who had logged in in the past 2 months. One random guy I didn't really know, and this girl (a friend of mine) who had logged in to tell me why she wouldn't be on for a long time.
That was it. I sent a Dusker cap to the GL because I offered it the last time she logged in, but it got auto-returned.
In fact, she only returned to SK this year.
In any case, I eventually left. I was the only actual active member there.

I was invited randomly into my first guild, which was an incredibly inactive one, where I stuck around because as a nooblet I didn't know any better, then I found AFK which was great for ages until the original GMs left and it quieted down a lot. Then a friend suggested his guild, Impervious, and I've been loving the madness ever since!

Huh...
Been with my guild for nearly a year now and have no intention to leave.
Loyality till death!

I would've been like that...if my membership wasn't so pointless.
It irks me to sever loyalties, and I'm still a little bitter over it, strange as it may seem.

My first few guilds were... boring.
After a few days in each of them they became inactive, so I was like "Ok, outta here"
Next guild I was invited into because of the the officers liked my LD style, and I stayed in that one for quite a bit.
Up till it eventually became inactive too with the people who still logged on regularly leaving, and I left very reluctantly.
I love my current guild: active, immature, all dat gud stuffs.

I cant even reme, ber my first guild but I was in LD Legends untill I eas told to go to Loons then I was kicked because I wasnt on in 2 days so I joined a guild called Insanty then got invited to legends then moved to loons then yes again kicked went to a guild called Rejects the went to a guild called the Lewl Dudes because of inactivity then got invited to Loons and the Loons and Legends got Shut down so I went to Happiness and stayed there a wile untill I was invited to Lockdown Aces where I now am and will most likely stay unless OoV wants me but ile prolly still stay anyway.

I can't believe you wrote all that in one sentence...
Anyways, I left my first guild because of the guild master. Some douche who kicked members randomly, and if they accidentaly invited him to some lower rank mission. He will then [tart] on about how those missions are noob missions and all that...
Second guild, was a nice experience in my book. Got a random invite, and I said to my self "why the hell not". Guild leader was an awesome dude, had like all of the items in SK and I killed Vana with guildies. Then when I actually opened my eyes, guild leader was a narcissistic wanker, who didn't like anyone but himself.
Today I am in a very friendly guild, where people respect me, even though I joined one week ago. I hope that i will stay in this guild for some time.

I quit my old guild because there were no active ppl in it except the leader and few others >_>

I left my first two guilds because they were both noob guilds run by newbs. There were something like 8 other inactive members and virtually no /g in both. I think the first one was called Dark Council and the 2nd one I can't recall because it was so unmemorable. I literally just accepted a random guild request in the ATH because I didn't know better. And then I found Unity and Pinkiedianepie, used my +5 CHA, struck up a friendship with at least one of them, and now I'm pretty happily in Knights of Equestria.
Edit: God, I hate Drupal.

Team Epos: Inactive.
A F K: Guild masters left.

In a nutshell, I've joined many T3 guilds and they were all a bunch of pretentious, elitist scumbags, and the only T3 Guild I haven't tried was Valkyrie Knights, it seems to be one of the good guilds out there, but I'm in a guild of friends so I don't have to worry about elitism and stupidity when I play anymore, because the game is enjoyable with friends.

The first two I joined were not what I'd call actual guilds. Most of the time, it was just me and one other guy who were on regularly. Of course I had to leave them to join an actual guild.
I'm a freelance agent bound to no one. No guilds for me. I'll still lend a hand in GvG matches/guild runs if you ask though.
Kinda wish the guild invites would stop. I've got a zillion in my inbox. :p

Much like Guy, I consider myself a freelance agent.
If I do join a guild, it will be because of shared interest or affiliation, rather than as a declaration of rank. If I leave this guild, it will be due to a lack of activity.

I left my last guild because few people wouldn't stop crying about updates.

I left my first guild: Lords, because they had become inactive, once I left them I joined another guild called: Legends, but got kicked for some reason.
Then I went through about 6 other guilds before I found: Discord, The best guild yet.

I suggest we create a guild for the forumers.
Kitty-Softpaws
of the forums

I left (well got kicked out of) my first guild (Phantoms End) because I went inactive and left the game when I had my finals.
I left my second guild (Benevolent Knights) due to them hardly ever being on when I logged in.
And I left my third guild (In The Jelly) since I didn't feel like I fitted in well.
I am now in Rogue Knights, which has been a lovely guild so far ^^

I left Echo of Silence way back when due to guild inactivity. Things have changed, but I've settled into my new home.

I'm in my third guild because the first two were mostly inactive. I forget what it's called... it's little long. :D

The first few guild I had were full of random creepy and silent strangers that only cared about me when I was at d23 of Vanaduke. Leechers :p Thats when I decided to look up 'the big guilds' on forum.

Cuz in my old guild they were
1. inactive
2. jerks who made me pay to get a rank up
3. not really good friends
4. no one really got along

I left my old guild, Arisen because:
1. About two peeps names Doomfox and Sandalwood, were real jerks to me.
2. Was never invited to Vanaduke.
3. I was always having to give everyone my money every time I did something dumb. (Which I rarely do anymore.)

Hmm...
Tough to say. A combination of a lot of those because of some drama and a GM who couldn't log on, which resulted in most of the cool and active members leaving, a lot of communication and leadership breakdown, new members in the guild who begged and complained a lot, and the guild generally not being able to work together as a team/guild. It was a real shame too, because when the guild was still active and jumpin' it was really jumpin'.
Talking about this made me realize just how much I miss being in a social guild...

@Kitty-Softpaws - Yes! The guild "Of The Forums" must be made!

When I first started off, I was invited to a few random guilds that I joined just so I could get some help. It wasn't until I joined Lockdown Legends that I learned of Guild Chat. (That is how inactive my other guilds were.) I quickly became an officer and quite enjoyed my guild although we lost most of the time. The guild kept losing it's good members and it was starting to die. I eventually left Lockdown Legends to join Lockdown Aces which I am happily content with.
/me waves around his officer status and laughs manically.

I convinced rommil that you got "guild points" based on how many guilds you joined. I then explained to him that once you acquired enough "guild points" they could be used to purchase those sweet UV's. So if anyone remembers rommil being in a different guild every week.... :D

First guild: Cupcake clan, I left it because no one was ever on.
Second guild: Hunter X Hunter (great guild btw.) but got kicked out due to inactivity
Third guild:Rogue knights, I will never leave this because the guild mates are helpful and we do a lot of runs. Very social and ranks actually have a purpose. Also, weegeftw is an awesome guild mate :P

:)
i was in about 4-5 guilds, found them completely useless, and couldn't understand why anyone would really bother.
Then i joined corp meltdown--->active-->unity, and it all made sense. A guild became a valuable tool in learning the game, progressing, grinding, and generally makes the game that much more enjoyable.
Amazing what a difference a good guild can make (and how little difference a bad guild makes.)

All guilds I have joined have been utterly useless. I'll wait until my SL skills are a bit more improved before applying to a more active, experienced guild.
Of OP's list these applied in pretty much every guild I have been in.
1. boredom
3. guild master was not very good
11. was getting asked for help and crowns too much
12. not enough active members

I can safely say every guild that I have been in, sans Guild and Runs with Scissors, has only slowed me down as a player.
I only wish I left those guilds sooner or not joined them at all.

The guild I was in was active for quite a while and very friendly, but people started leaving. Eventually, people went inactive and no head took the place of the usually inactive leader. So I joined a friend's guild.

The first guild I was in, the Core Reapers, consisted of about 40 members, 35 of which were inactive, and 4 of which ran SL's 24/7. While nice in theory, this was back when I was a nooblet scraping the bottom of the metaphorical barrel to make my first 2* upgrades.
The second guild I joined, Heavenly Swagg, was completely awesome... until it just sorta... disintegrated. There was conflict amongst the officers, until several major members left.
The remnants of HS was lumped in TAO, which I enjoyed for a while. I worked my way up to GM actually. It was nice... sorta. There were tons of small things that I hated. Most of the people irritated me in some way. Eventually, I took a step back and asked myself "Why am I still here?" The only answer I could think of was "Everyone else liked me and wanted me to stay." Several weeks later, I realized the "Everyone else" consisted of almost everyone I hated. Thus I left, got into Grundel Warriors, been happy ever since.

Boredom and inactivity mostly. I'm only in a guild at the moment to stop getting 50 random guild invitation every time I go to haven. Guilds are lame in this game :V

my first guild was Knights Commando...
left it because of inactivity...
(i was, like, the only active person on that guild...)

the health trinket patch at 14 Dec . That fateful day . I'm working at that time. Good times. Lol

Back in my 2 star days at last April , I joined one piece . Eventually work my way up to 5 star with max uv and I left one piece to join a more elite guild which is active . Got into an argument with some childish officer there and was removed from active. Holla told me to find a better guild which is EOS and oath keeper.
Eventually , I started my own guild last July Coup De Grace till to this date。
Picking out of the Dirty Dozen:
Left my first because of inactivity.
Considering leaving my second for the same reason.
