OOO is actually observing the whole game all the time

unlike other RPGs i know that do nothing, i just got a temp ban for offensive chat because, well, offensive chat
what makes me wonder how they knew that SO FAST (flamed a T2 group @vana for failing and told a guildmate a censored word uncensored); it took like 10 min or so and then SK just logged me off with the temp ban message when trying to log in.
do they observe chats or so? D:
on a side note: If, for example, a whole group dies and u flame about the fail, not your team, does it give a ban? just curious because i dont want another ban/perm ban D:
side-side-note: I dont think i got a complaint because the groupmates were pretty underaged... see the other thread about that

I just wanted to tell that OOO is doing well... i mean I can live 2 days without Spiral Knights

It might be something that you said even yesterday. It takes a while to dig up to a specific reports.
They dont observer chat logs. To see chat log they must be in your surrounding. Otherwise they most likely check chat logs only when someone reports your, and they check chat logs from the time you were reported.
If you are curious if that was exactly because what you think it was, you may mail support at support@spiralknights.com and they will send you chat log that proves that you are guilty if you ask them.
If you got in trouble because of those underaged kids you are describing in other post, and you are sure they are under 13 years old, you have right to report them.
And if team is pathetic and they die all the time one have right to flame them, and those who die should have dignity to accept that they failed instead of doing jerk move of reporting someone.
lol davjo... your most offensive "chat" was your other forum topic a few hours ago. laughing about people that are with 3 stars at Vanaduke? How could they even get there? Probably only with your help and invitation. And then you laugh about them? Sometimes it looks like that unsocialness is everywhere...

Well, few days ago a friend got a warning not to propagate illegal behavior, because he previously talked about his drug addiction.
However, it was 4 in the morning and it was only us 3 in entire Haven, so I doubt he got reported by someone else.

Strictly speaking, devs and GMs do have the ability to hover unseen in haven, as well as to join your party and (it seems) monitor certain special chat channels. But there are far too many players having (boring) conversations for them to really be doing this for sinister purposes. During the beta, there was a bug whereby emotes could still act on invisible knights; however, typing /poke devname is no longer a surefire way to flush them out.
But much more likely: someone in your party used /complain. And given how badly that interface is designed, they must have been pretty motivated.

lol. or EVERYONE in your party used /complain. They were probably whispering back and forth to each other, and decided you deserved to have them all /complain you.
And you have probably done this before, and been /complained for it many times. I doubt a GM was watching you and T2 group doing vana.

Going around chat filter to uncensor a word is a surefire way to get a visit from the big guys upstairs. Same rule as in a few of their other games, actually same rule in any other game. You got complained for that. Don't go around chat filter. EZ Problem solved

@Asukalan I know what i did wrong so i don't need to write an email why i got banned lolz
@Fashama I got permainvited from that T2 and decided to go proto D: I mean he is quite annoying and i should have a screen somewhere where he says (in german) he is 9 (i asked him why he doesnt talk english; he said he cant because he is 9)
@Velika yep
@Pauling I dont think they know what actually complain is :S It may be that a GM observed the 2 because i reported for underage and then because of my flame
@Rommil i doubt that my guildmate would report me and my friend too, the only one who didnt know me was the dusker guy. also maybe GMs are observing YOU RIGHT NOW! *scary music here*
@Heath-Ledger-Joker It was in guildchat and they wanted to know what [poot censor here] means. i uncensored it and felt the BANHAMMER
so many @'s...

Just because it's in guild chat does not mean you won't get a guildie that gets offended by it. No where is safe! They are watching! Foil hats on and seat belts fastened!

.........
"permainvited"
Pray tell, how does this happen?

invited -> no -> invited -> no -> invited -> no -> invited -> no -> invited -> no -> invited -> no -> invited -> no -> ...
That is permainvite

Leave -> ignore
Or
Leave invite open. They can't send anymore, all you do is NOT click accept.
Nobody said you have to respond. You were the one who decided to make it 'permanent', if that's what you meant by 'perma'.

This is almost worthy of a 34073 bump. ~Shudders~
If the whole group dies and you flame them, YOU have failed, you have been complained about for behaving like such a jackass.
to avoid more bans stop acting like a jackass.
also you should not discuss bans on the forums.
