Fact: Material prices fluctuate quite a bit through the day/week/month. Bargains abound if you have the luck/patience to bid, or find people that don't care (or don't know, shame on you!) about the value of materials. You can easily spend your time doing this, and manage having a stockpile of materials, or you can leave it to Material World.

If you do a bit of crafting and need a reliable supply of materials at a consistent budget amount, I offer a simple supply service arrangement to several crafters and recently have space to supply a few more.

How it works: You tell me what materials and quantities you need (per week/fortnight/etc.) and what your budget per material is. I find you a supply of materials within that budget amount. We hook up on weekends based on typically log-in times to exchange stock. I aim to manage a surplus of common materials to meet all of my clients needs each week. Each client (or common material supplier) is in my friend list for ease of hook up.

Q: What if two or more clients want the same material?
A: If all can agree to a common price, the materials are split up evenly until quotas are reached. If someone wants materials for less than the rest then the highest price gets first dibs on materials.

Q: If you find stuff cheaper than agreed price, what happens to the surplus?
A: The extra savings are used to help even out price fluctuations in materials. I use savings from some materials to offset losses in other materials to ensure clients get some of everything they're after when market prices swing. This is a business so I do have a small margin target, but my main focus is happy customers!

Q: What timezone do you play?
A: I operate out of GMT +10. This is a fairly quiet timezone with plenty of good deals to be had on materials. Obviously if you play actively around the same time as me the service won't be much use to you. (You'll be competing for my bids!:) However if you play in North America or Europe, this service can help you land potentially good prices on materials.

Q: Can you secure rare materials/items?
A: Yes, I can scour you a deal on any material or item for a desired price. Just let me know what you're after and for what price. (Lockboxes, recipes, etc.)

Q: Do you con newbies out of materials?
A: No. Most of my purchases are done off AH with bids, or naively placed buy-outs. I do buy direct and will ask what people want for materials, or offer based on the current budgets of my clients, explaining that to them. Generally I look to buy bulk amounts (>50) directly where posting on AH can be a bit more risky/expensive and players can accept selling materials for >10% off AH prices.

Q: Are you a girl?
A: No. It's just a good handle for a good guild name I'd originally planned to limit the number of random, unsolicited join guild requests. Previously I had been operating under "Mr. Material". :)

Q: I don't need materials, will you buy them from me?
A: Sure! Just check with me on weekends and based on what my clients are looking for I can offer to buy any quantity to meet those needs. Fair warning for smaller quantities you will earn more on Auction House, but if you want crowns now, or have larger quantities to offload I may be able to help.

Q: Sounds great!!! How do I sign up?
A: If it's something you find interesting then either look for me in-game (on weekends) or send me an in-game mail (Material-Girl) with a list of materials and desired prices. I will be frank about your chances of securing a supply. Obviously the closer you are to AH prices, the larger supply I can secure, but in most cases I can stock reasonable volume for 50-75% of your typical AH price.
