Like everyday you start playing spiral knights, you'll receive a special gift from the Spiral knights HQ. The daily reward can be a material( not materials like Nightmare mane etc), crowns (not too much), mist tanks (or small ones) and if you're lucky, a iron lockbox would be yours.
