Alright, so I haven't played since the patch yet, but based just off the notes, I have few to say about it.
>>"A new 'Armor Rear' accessory slot is now available. Items that now use this slot are:
- Tails Tails
- Wolver Tails"
Ok, cool. I've always thought we should have something like this so we can have both a tail and wings ever since the Dragon wings. The only problem is that I have my Prismatic wings on a different armor already! So basically, this is only useful to still the rich people, who can afford ANOTHER tail/wings of their choice, averaging around 20k CE (or 50$ in USD mind you) because we cant take off accssories without them being destroyed.
REALLY OOO? I mean, at least also patch Bechamel and allow safe removal of accessories with, idk, CE?? I mean sure, Vise costs a ton to unbind, but at least give us the option for acccssories!
Whatever, its a nice new feature that was needed at the start. Next...
>>"Monsters
- Zombies will now only drop loot on initial defeat. Rez'd zombies will drop nothing.
- Slag Guards now have new artwork. Hail Almire!"
Interesting. I'd like to go and see the new artwork, so I guess I'll open SpiralSpy and check it out quick. We're they trying to nerf FSC payout with this? So that if a zombie is rezzed you get nothing from it? Or is it that they always drop on the first kill, but if revived they drop nothing more?
Well guess I'll have to find out.
>>"Graphics
- Made adjustments to certain textures on low detail setting."
Good.
>>"Levels
- Prestige Mission: Pinch of Salt - the interactive salt pile that is used to open a door is more clearly visible
- There is new music for slime-themed levels. The Royal Jelly Palace will keep the original slime music."
Ok, I never had a problem with the old salt pile. It seemed pretty obvious sitting there in the center next to a knight sparkling, but whatever. If its not broke don't fix it, but it couldn't have been broke if they tried so...
New music for slime levels.
EDIT:
The song is good! Kinda reminds me of IMF with the beat.
RJP keeping the Original Soundtrack? GOOD. It fit that place perfectly.
Well that's all I have to say about this update.
It was ok, but giving the amount detailed in whats in development, it didn't seem like there was enough. The only thing that I remembered from reading the original notes when Eurydice opened it to discussion was the New accessory "slot" for tails.
It accomplished adding something new to the game, fixed some graphical issues, but was a bit lackluster as not much was actually brought in that was completely new.
Of course I still have yet to play, so once I do, I'll have a more solid opinion on it.
Am I the only one who feels this way? The forums seem to be clogged with rage at the moment, so I hope we're all doing our best to simply ignore it and let it fall to the Graveyard.
>> I am certain that OOO will add more rear accessories in the future. It wouldn't make sense if you only had 2 (technically 1) choices for one slot.
>> You were right the 2nd time. Now if you kill a zomble in totem range, it will drop loot, but if it gets rez'd it won't continue to drop loot. Think T3 Gremlins. This is because before, if you killed a zomble by a totem, it wouldn't drop loot until you killed it outside the circle. If you moved the totem away from the skull, eventually the skull would despawn and you'd get no loot at all from that zomble. New Slag Guards get a helm that makes em look silly. :P
>> Meh.
>> You can find all the music in the game files. The new song itself is actually very good.
I don't think a grade is appropriate since it's really just setting up for a larger update.
