I think, that Almirian used to be an old kingdom, and ancient forgotten and mythical civilization from Isora. But knowing that the Clockworks are parts of planets strapped together with machinery, the gremlins might have taken a few Almirian samples and placed it in the clockworks too.

I think that Almire might be a colony from "Isora" in the planet where Almire was located, and that the other 2 tribes actually were the native ones. Why one tribe would be "highly organized" while the other 2 not? Our "lore" is from the "Spiral Knights point of view and knowledge" mostly, it could be "data" made by ourselves in our own version to glorify Almire. After all, the other 2 tribes attacked in fear of Almire's superior army and a possible invasion from their part.

I think same Genus, Different planets.
Maybe certain "Goldilock Planets" had the Knight/Almarian/Ur's(?) Genus so they looked similar, but were created on different planets.

im tell ya my friend, Spiral Knights are people From almire from a alternate dimension that escape before Almire destruction in awesome Chromalisk spaceship with lazars. and they forgot about their Past. and now from reasons unknow from the fate when they were traveling in the space years ago after almire destruction their new awesome and advance spaceship Skylark got stuck in an awesome space Worm tunnel with groovy colors transporting them to our dimesion in Spiral Knight were almire is destroyed and those werent able to escape like we did in our alternate dimension...
