Sword Charge Time Reduction, with UV
I have a slightly theoretical question for anyone with Sword Charge Time Reduction UVs, those that don't can feel free to hypothesize with me. Suppose that a Sword is maxed and it is one that gains the Charge Time Reduction: Medium ability. Now add a Charge Time Reduction UV. How noticeable is the charge time difference? Is the difference between a Low UV and Maximum UV greater than a second? Or are you really only fishing for a couple milliseconds difference?
The ultimate question is, is there a cap/limit on how much the charge time can be reduced, or is it possible to create a sword with an instant/near-instant charge attack?
Yes I am aware that there are six levels, Maximum! being the highest, and that they stack as Unique Variants are added to the item abilities, whether or not the abilities are identical. I just want to know whether or not the charge time can become instant through getting the highest possible UV, or a cap is placed so that getting higher than a certain level does not make a difference at all. If not, then I'd still like to know the reduction difference between Low and Maximum.
I've partied with bombers who had Maximum! charge time reduction. It's not instantaneous, so your question about a cap is somewhat irrelevant due to being impossible.
A UV Maximum! on a level 10 sword/bomb/gun will be the same as a UV Very High on a level 10 sword/bomb/gun of the same type regardlesss of other equipment (maybe attack speed boost has some effect on when the charge starts accumulating, but the interval from charge start to charge end is probably the same). Likewise, a UV Maximum! bomb at level 1 has the same charge time as a bomb at level 10 with Mad Bomber Mask and Mad Bomber Suit. There's no way around the combined Ability bonus from all your equipment including all UVs.
there was a time that charge time didn't have a cap, but now it's impossible to get an insta charge. they did this because people would die cause they wanted to do a normal hit, but a click made them do charge attack
LobsterHime: But that's what I was talking about, the degree to which the UV reduces the charge time by. If it's impossible, that is because it is decided that way, thus a "cap".
Hoogie: Hmm. That's interesting. I guess that would be pretty annoying.
Is it worth it then, I wonder, to scour the earth for a Maximum! Charge UV?
There are six levels. You cannot go past six.
Medium counts as two levels. These bonuses stack.
Therefore, you would need need two more levels of that bonus to max the charge time if you had two medium bonuses already.
I'll hand you over to somebody who actually does have a max ctb sword for the rest of the info.
