spear head

i played the legion of almire about 3 times and spent 400 ce on reviving. its begun to be really anoying. so i ask, do anyy of you know how to counter the spear attack for the dreadnaught and the Almirian Crusader?
so far, i can only block once from the spear attack and the tackle. second attack automatically breaks my shield.

Dodge dude. I soloed the mission today with little effort and all it takes to dodge the charge is to move in a circle around the Crusaders. Also if you shoot a bullet at them and they are not charging yet, they spend some time shielding in place.
Dreadnaughts also easy to dodge if you move to a side.
If everything fails you can get a shivermist I guess.

Try shield bashing them while they're charging. Or simply blitz the statue.

Run a circle around them and they won't hit you. If you have a shadow-resistant shield such as Crest of Almire you can also block them just fine. If you have an RSS you can also plant one shortly before they unleash the charge to one-shot kill them. (If you don't have one already I wouldn't recommend getting it since they're nerfing it.)

They telegraph the attack pretty well so just keep sidestepping until they attack. After that it's just a matter of knowing when to hit them and when not to hit them. Also, a DA combo more often than not knocks them down and interrupts their attack entirely, but it won't if they're being knocked free from being frozen. For that, you'll need a 3-hit sword of some kind.
Or you can be like me and use the Winmillion on everything.

Not a nerf of RSS, a change of mechanics. Hell, it'll probably do a hell of a lot more damage than now with the 5*.
Meh, I just Brandish charge those suckers. Tends to kill if not (im)mortally wound them.

Not a nerf of RSS
You look me in the eyes and tell me the removal of the bomber's only ranged weapon and the ability of one-shotting isn't a nerf.

i find the deadnaughts easy enough - just run them into walls - but you're right, at first almarian crusaders were pretty tricky. I was stunned to find out theres a way to negate their attacks however.

It's not a nerf, you'll have plenty of OHKO power with the 5*. If you want to make progress in game development, you have to make changes. Guns, by their very nature, should have the only true ranged attacks. Freaking RSS has the longer range and sometimes more power than any bullet. Brandishes are slightly different because their charge is a series of ground-based explosions a la Retrode lasers. Besides RSS, the only other true ranged non-gun is Winmillion, and frankly Winmillion is terrible to the point to the point of being a non-issue. Biohazard has less DPS, AoE, and utility than practically any bomb. FoV is supposed to be powerful because of its "difficulty to obtain", along with its rubbish normal attack and possibly suicidal charge. Leviathan, I don't what to say about because its a pretty mediocre sword in general. Blitz has pretty much always been obscenely OP, it needs a nerf. Polaris is irrelevant because no class hold monopoly on knockback.
PvP is not, never has been, and probably never will be the main purpose or focus of the game.

this ideas help a lot. my only problem is to face there spears while dodgin six shot turrets and explodig zombies. the normal skeletons arent a bug deal just the turrets and exploding zombies keep me busy while their spear heads come at me from all 3 sides.
here is the armor i use for the mission. im all star 3.
helm: scary skelly helm
armor. scary skelly armor
shield: scary skelly shield.
weapon1: shock burst brandish
weapon2: kilowatt pulsar
my problem is that i can sometimes get low amount of lag causing me to sidestep where i don't want to or maybe its not a lag but a prob with the game. but ignore this part. are the equipment i have sufficient to beat the legion of almire mission solo?

You should probably make that pulsar a Polaris ASAP. After that it shouldn't be too difficult killing turrets with expedience and keeping Crusaders at bay with it.
Try not to wake them prematurley.
Get them from behind during their attack animations, ect.
Dreads, well, like slags, keep your eyes open for them, unleash a charge while they have their back against you.
