More on the theme of short term satisfaction; few long term results, I see.
Re-introduction of key promotional items is a horrible idea… players buy them as an investment. Key word being "buy"; you're essentially devaluing your product for a small amount of revenue and expansion by hurting the P2P player base that stalks up on such items to hoard and profit off of… look at what happened when you sold the Red, Black, and White Chapeaus on the auction house.
I'll have to see these new costume armors in game though, tis a smart move making them untradable; you don't need to siphon off the crowns of billionaires into the market when it should be going into the auction house. Making it unbindable for a crown fee would be a smart move as well though.

Inter Client Gifts + # of Nemesis Boxes
Is it possible yet to gift from Steam to non-Steam players or vice-verse?
The Steam interface says you get 4 Nemesis boxes, but if you look at the Guardian pack through the game client, it only shows 2.
Is this an error or do Steam players get an extra 2 Nemesis boxes??

There is no deal for the Guardian packs but you do get Nemesis boxes if you buy one of the starter or battle pack deals.
Guardian packs are 1 per account but they can be gifted.
I have a friend who I'd like to introduce to the game, but they use Steam, i don't which is why I'm curious if they've resolved things since the Crimson Hammer DLC with respect to gifting across gameplay platforms.

I really have no sympathies for players who create a monopoly and then price gouge , they know they are gambling. I'd rather see the accessory in game then see watch multiple copies sit in 1%'s inventory. Yay for OOO make accessories accessible.

Guess my only other question
Guess my only other question is, how does gifting this thing work with getting the nemesis boxes? I do want to gift this to my friends (because it's an elevator pass for them among other things), but if the boxes dissapear into the ether because it was a gift, that's kinda a bad thing.
Edit: assume gifting across steam.

Okay, lemmie make sure I got this all straight.
I buy the pack through Steam, not the in-game energy depot.
Even though I don't buy it through the energy depot, I'll still get the boxes from the promotion.
Even though the pack is on sale, I'll get boxes based on the pack's regular price.
And if I do that, and it doesn't do that, I send in a support ticket.

You know....those things that were never part of the actual pack of costume armors? You know those things that were there to celebrate said costume pack? You know those things that aren't there anymore?????? Yes, indeed they need to put in something else now that said promotion item is no longer there or else nobody else will buy it...and everyone, including myself, shouldn't be sitting at our mailboxes, waiting for 4 silver keys that aren't ever going to show up. If you want to pick something to WHINE about when it comes to this pack, its the fact that it doesn't count as a purchase for the test server...which by the way should be looked into and FIXED??? maybe? =|
