As anyone would know, I use Radiant Sun Shards more than anyone in Lockdown. I wouldn't say this bomb is completely ruined because in terms of damage I don't really see a problem but still need some major tweaks in blast radius in both the first and second blast and fuse time of the secondary shards. I would say this bomb is more useful in terms of arcade runs than in Lockdown.
I would like to point out the Cons first:
1) the first blast radius is too small, it doesn't even reach the secondary shards location.
2) the secondary shards took too long to explode, thus making kiting monster a bit harder because a Nitrome or Dark Briar Barrage has a shorter fuse time and bigger radius, which makes these bombs a bit of a secondary choice for most people (tested in training room, the secondary shards' radius is one square tile less than Dark Briar Barrage/Nitrome, same radius as Dark Retribution).
3) the secondary shards' blast radius could be increased by 50%
Pros
1) Great job of the Iodized Salt Bomb, it's now more fun to use because the charge time is now fixed. Shadow damage and shock are excellent.
Usefulness feedback:
1) I would say if i was going up against beast and fiend monsters, Dark Briar Barrage would do a much better job at dealing damage and kiting.
2) As for jelly, the Iodized Salt Bomb would be fun to use, but the Dark Retribution trumps it at damage per second because it does take quite a bit of time for the new Iodized Salt bomb to do its full damage.
This update does feel like a major nerf in terms of the original shard bombs' range, now it had been reduced to 1/3 of the original range.
Lockdown prediction:
Since the blast radius is so tiny, and the secondary blast took too long to explode, I would say I am able to knock out half of the shard bomb users' health and able to leave totally unharmed. As a gunner, because the shards bombs no longer has the range, I now don't have to bother to dodge as the drivers' charge attacks will take out the bomber in 2 charges.
