Force your region to "USA" or "Europe"

For the past week after some magical updates from Spiral Knights, I've been playing in every game session with 1-bar connection rather than 2-bars and was having unpleasant experiences from collision hit errors from monsters to sudden spawns of monsters and projectiles (from the result of mysterious connection choke that lasted half to one second.) I thought my campus wi-fi got worse, so I did further digging using Resource Monitor from Windows.
When I entered a game session, I looked up the current server's IP address and realized that the game incorrectly placed me in US Amazon servers (*.compute-1.amazonaws.com; United States), despite that my IP address is actually is from the south-west Asia region.
After this discovery, I went into options and changed the region from "From IP" to "Europe" and launched another game session. Now I'm in the correct Amazon servers from Europe (*.eu-west-1.compute.amazonaws.com; Western Europe) and I gained a more stable connection in the game with 2-bars.
So now I can't always trust the "From IP" region in the game options. If you notice a degraded network connection from the Spiral Knights server for the past week, try changing your region to "USA" or "Europe." You might gain a bar and better game experiences on the next session.
That is all.

That's my best guess. Sorry, I don't know much about either networking or how far SE Asia is from North America or Europe.
Probably America, but don't just take it from me.

Bog, you should go america. It's the closest geographically and those servers might be better. Try both, yunno.

EDITTED: Didn't catch the point of what Ters said an hour ago.
I'll see about that. :o

Just found out that the "Party Finder" button as a sneaky function that can sometimes land me into US server and not EU server.

But the text is so tinyyyyyyy!
Actually I did overlooked those headers. Thanks for the tip!
What if I am from South East Asia region, which region suits me? :o
