It's probably most economical to just craft 2* items for 50 ME everyday and pray you get UV's.
But if I want to UV roll, is it better to craft with 1 UV tickets repeatedly until I get the one I want?
Or should I pay for multiple UV's at once?
I think given multiple single rolls it's more likely to get a better one, and then after that choose the next option.
What do you do if you decide to UV roll?
Now that you can lock, I believe most people are rolling singles until they get one they want, then locking it and doing double, etc.

I think you overestimate the wealth vs intelligence of some people. Most of the time, people roll for a good ASI or CTR on a weapon, and then they are done. The price goes up exponentially the more UV's you want, thus its not at all worth it to go for double and triple maxes unless you're drowning in CE.
I believe that, unless you already have your item made, ragecrafting is better. It's 4k cr/roll. But your chances of getting the UV you want are lowered, indeed.
It's best to just buy unless you're lucky.
If you only want 1 UV, it's cheap just to do single UV rolls.
